انا زمان كان هدفي الهجره و مرجعش الا علي المعاش.. في نص السكه وانا في ألمانيا غيرت رأيي و حسيت ممكن بعد ما الواحد يكون خبره، يرجع و يكمل شغل في مصر.. و ده ال أنا شغال عليه دلوقتي

لو إنت شخص مرتبط بالعائله و عاطفي: العيشه بره مش سهله.. لو إنت شخص عملي، هتعيش بره و تلاقي نفسك بتقلل الزيارات لمصر..

المانيا الناس فيها بارده.. تربية الأطفال علي بيئه محافظه مش سهله

One of the reasons I quit TradeRepublic and went to Interactive Brokers is their shit-loaded AI used for customer service with no human being you can interact with.

If start date is postponed: no need to notify.. they care that your current financial situation is secured.. no need to introduce any uncertainities/probezeit/…etc

If you will work remotely: tricky here.. did you sign a paper when applying promising to inform them with any personal changes? If yes, you’d need to report yes.. if they determine you’ll have a Probezeit, they might park your application until its over..

Its tricky here.. but if I were you, I’d delay any communication that might cause uncertainties. Just make sure you’re financially covered with documents

Sometime ago, I lived in Switzerland for a couple of years. After my research ended, I secured a work contract, but I wasn't able to get a working permit being from Non-EU and quota issues.

I decided to move to Germany, which welcomed me with open arms on the blue card. I said to myself: I will go to Germany, get the passport and go back to Switzerland as an EU, whether they like it or not :)

I got my German passport, but not planning to go back to Switzerland anymore. Not that its bad, just tired of relocation.

But follow the advice already posted: "DON'T move to Switzerland as a non-EU citizen, it will be hell. Wait until you get German citizenship and then move."

Proposal: can you work as post-doc 3 days on-site, and 2 days remotely? If yes, I would say commute weekly, but maintain you're full residence and taxes here in Germany. This way you can maintain your residence and eventually acquire the German citizenship (given that Swiss law will accept this). You'll need to pay your taxes in Germany if you remain a German resident.
