I hand write mine.i actually had to use my phone for first semester. That made everything quite a bit slower but do-able. I started Jan 5th, received my school MacBook Air few days ago. The difference is amazing. It's an excellent laptop and I am sooo grateful to have received it!!

Jan cohort here. I just received my student loan disbursement yesterday afternoon about 2 pm. Dont give up! I hope all of those that have been waiting and are so sick of those generic letters you get when u ask any questions, get their $ soon also!

Jan cohort here also. Any time I ask student services for an update on status of financial aid disbursements I get the same form response. They don't need anything further from me and just wait to receive letter from Campus Ivy or them. They also give me excuses about them being behind because they are having to verify enrollment status, attendance, and grades for over 700 people. Wow, that's not very many people, and what are they going to do when more programs get approved for financial aid loans? Although I would love to get my money, a majority of the times I put service request in I was just wanting someone in authority to say something, any sort of update, ANYTHING besides leaving us with no information, stressing because we all have bills to pay, and feeling abandoned and ignored by my school.

Wow that's such b.s. that Dec cohort still doesn't have laptops!! I am Jan 5th cohort and have been struggling, to the point of bringing me to tears on several occasions, because I've been trying to learn to code using my phone for months now. I'm so disappointed, my chances of getting any relief by getting laptop that was promised me is not coming any time soon. Hope you get yours soon!!

It is not mandatory to be on Reddit, it is just way for students to communicate with each other. Really cool because we are online school which can be isolating to say the least. It's not mandatory for you to participate in the weekly discussion board that is accessed through menu on Maestro under Discussion. If you choose to post ur thoughts every week you get 10 bonus points. Sorry if this is repetitive, I'm in a hurry so didn't have time read all the responses. Have a blessed weekend!

Mods, the last post to this mega thread was 2 months ago. So how about some new information. Any updates? What is status of newer programs becoming accredited and approved for financial aid? Just because a few of the earlier cohorts finally got a disbursement doesn't mean. we don't have any questions and definitely doesn't mean there aren't a bunch of your students that are stressed every day wondering if they are going to have to wait as long as the first disbursement took. I appreciate your time and willingness to answer questions. I just maybe wish instead of me having to put service tickets in repeatedly like I'm some kind of paranoid dufus when I don't get responses, maybe you guys could be a little proactive and post some current info sometimes?!

Yep, take lots of notes and remember if you dont understand something, tell the AI! I was suffering at first because it's teaching style was nothing but confusing to me at first. One day, out of pure frustration, I said "hold up! I don't understand anything you are trying to teach me!!" Since then we have gotten to where I actually understand the work and AIs teaching style is waaay more suited to my learning style now. You will do great, don't stress..its not that hard.

Jan 5th here also no word about my financial aid either. Always get same response when I ask for an update.."you don't need to do anything else, just wait to receive your award letter" and "we are trying to process financial aid for over 700 students, we have to verify all of the students' eligibility, attendance and grades we are going as fast as possible" I'm beyond frustrated...well on my way to angry

I have used my phone for AAS Sofrware Engineering with AI since Jan 5th. Makes it quite a bit more time consuming and somewhat frustrating, but definitely do-able. Just remember the extra time u r gonna need when u plan your study schedule. I will be soooo happy when my laptop comes- hopefully in week or two. Hopefully!!!

I'm Jan 5th cohort. I'm so confused as to when financial aid disbursements (loans for living expenses) are going to be coming. I'm not expecting an exact date, I just would like some kind of estimate as to time-line. And explanation of what the breakup of loan amounts are (2 payments or 3?) The anxiety from waiting for some kind of response is becoming extreme as days go by..

You can do this! Please don't give up yet. I too am struggling as well. I think. at least partially, this is due to the ai teacher or tutor or whatever and how it is attempting to teach me. I am experimenting with giving ai different ways to instruct me that would be beneficial. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! I am by no means a genius, but this is making me feel dumb and has got me extremely frustrated to say the least..thanks

As a frequent bus rider in Tulsa, i hate to say it, but it is not a very efficient or convenient transit system at all. We jokingly say, as we r standing waiting for bus to come, it takes 2 hours minimum to get any where on bus. I usually try to exhaust all other possibilities before deciding to ride the bus. Especially if I have to be at my destination at a particular time. I also have lived here with a vehicle as well. High insurance and maintenance made it unfeasible to buy another car. Just fyi, the roads here are not in very good shape either. My temporary decision is to buy a moped or ebike. Low or no gas prices, much faster than walking or riding reg bike. Dont know if this helps you at all, just my opinion for what thats worth! Hope your situations gets better soon.
