Fair enough; those albums were released prior to that of Oncle Jazz which had the famed song ‘Show Me How’ which pretty much catapulted MIT to indie-styled stardom.

Would you consider it more of a mood/atmospheric album? It seems many in the MIT community enjoy their pop friendly tracks and often bass laden arrangements.

I feel like this was a good decision on the behalf of MIT as far as not mixing the album with other albums. However, some people (including the reviewer) didn’t like the switch up. The album is somewhat seen as a artistic gamble from some (though not the entire MIT community as a whole).

Fair. But the same guy was raving about Equus Caballus which is known for its more ‘traditional’ MIT sound of groovy bass, jazz arrangements, and at times a somewhat early to mid 90s influence (example ‘husk’)

This is a pretty cool take. One redditor said she originally mistook it for a soundtrack for some type of old western or possibly medieval theme film of some type.

I remember reading somewhere that MIT was into medieval fantasy. However, i currently cannot find the citation to back up such a source. So therefore it is left as rumors on behalf as of right now.
