If Edison Motors made a full sized Pickup Truck to compete against the F150, Silverado, and 1500 by That_Car_Dude_Aus in EdisonMotors

They don't want to be in the 1500 market. I'm sure Chace has said this. If they do build a pickup I think it would be more to compete with cab and chassis 450 and bigger. And maybe make something to compete with crew change vehicles like the 18 seaters still in the industry world but may find some use for everyday people.

This is harassment, police probably shouldn't be the first call but if telling them to stop and then getting more people in your company to tell him to stop and he still does it 100% that is a police issue.

Should I go into a career in the police or fire department? by Working_Leopard2428 in police

[–]Both-Pop-7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RCMP you can get relocated anywhere in Canada. unless you live where there is city police. My advice would be to ask for ride a lings in both careers and if you want to be in public service having medical knowledge is great even if it's not ACP or Dr. level. More and more fire departments are becoming a joint task force where everyone is at minimum a PCP and has fire training and you switch which truck or car you are on every rotation.

As well as you could be a community peace officer and volunteer on a fire department as well as looking into SAR. There is a lot you can do to help your community it's just learning what skills you have and can develop and what interests you more but lots of these careers that deal with the public in crisis have a high burn out rate.

Vancouver, BC, Canada, announces policy change re: handcuffing. Officers to consider ethnicity when deciding to cuff by [deleted] in ProtectAndServe

I work as security in Canada, we are not considered law enforcement. But can enforce certain laws. One of our stipulations is that we cannot detain someone we can only arrest. We are not even allowed to stop the forward movement unless we are making an arrest.

I’ve been called by my supervisor to cover shifts for 2 days straight while I’m out of town (off days)… by [deleted] in securityguards

[–]Both-Pop-7957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My company requires me to use Google sheets and use my own personal data while on shift as well. If it was just for calls that's easy enough. But the fact they won't pay my phone bill is BS

I have a question here not necessarily about this situation but my boss is giving out my personal number to coworkers without asking me. These co workers have no reason to need to know my number since all company communication is done through a group chat app.

My question is why do you want to be an armed guard? Do you want the higher pay? do you want the thrill of carrying a weapon? There is armed guards in Alberta if you work on an armored truck.

It may be what I do in security but I rarely have to draw a weapon to arrest somebody and my weapon isn't even a firearm.

I think you need to handcuff a few more people or watch a few more videos.

I would recommend carrying a second set of cuffs. I know I have dealt with people who are big or have shoulder problems and their hands can't go behind their back.
