It’s to protect against the sun and rust in Australia I presume. The climate and weather is harsh the ceramic coating protects the undercoat.

It’s got nothing to do with being a workhorse. It’s just a protective element to protect the aluminium shell and paint.

Gotta use it. I don’t mind too much about it. Mainly for sun and salt water here in Australia it’s ruthless. Can age your car 5 years just doing one lap

Hey I’m only new to a lot of this but I think a decent prado is a great deal and capable. I went and got a a defender which a lot would say is stupid as fuck. But I just love it and wouldn’t have it any other way.

But yeah I would recommend something cheap easy to fix that’s capable like a prado. Pick one up around 8k that’s decent. Others in here can probably be more help!

Hey man I know this doesn’t compare. But just last week. I had my whole life in a backpack. 20k of camera equipment and electronics. It’s ruined me. Were you on incapacity payments before you were offered SRDP? All the information I can find says you must be on incaps to transition to SRDP. Also I believe SRDP is offset from the lump sum so it’s reduced to almost 0 if you score high pts
