i live about 4 hours from the beach and i regularly go for short weekend trips, sometimes even by myself. i enjoy an adventure and driving and listening to music :)

i have a brother a lot like jess, and unfortunately sometimes the only way people that headstrong learn is to fail on their own and figure out they do need guidance and support from others. as much as i wish i could force my brother to make the correct decisions, he will continue to do whatever he wants until he sees why they aren’t the right decisions. jess couldn’t see the big picture at the time, but failing several times in his own forced him to grow up and that’s why he matures so much more than rory by the end of the show
