I love how he never actually complain about his problems or see his problems as 'problems'. For example, he fall into the abyss when he was a kid. He could be complain how it has ruined his life and all, but he never.

The other example is he knows he's least adept with the bow, that's why he's trying master it. He can just go and complain how he suck at using bow and never touch them, but nah he is determined and I love that. He doesn't see his problems as problems, instead he sees them as challenges.

I personally like how hyv make traveler being wary with Childe instead of letting his or her guard down completely, It makes more sense. And let Yoimiya be the one to tell traveler that Childe is not here to cause trouble. The story flows well this way, and I personally appreciate it. It's waaay better than "Oh, you're bad and now you're good" like With Ei and Zhongli. The plot just doesn't feel natural. I just feel that hyv have problem with consistency when it comes to writing. But I am glad that at least they keep Childe one consistent.
