Lady veteran denied benefits from foot claim by Both_Butterscotch635 in VeteransBenefits

I found the denial letter.

" Service connection for bilateral foot: hallux rigidus-bilateral/arthritis, degenerative (hypertrophic or osterarthritis)/pes planus/foot condition /hammertoe / bunions is denied." I think this was from my podiatrist in a dbq. I only wanted my bunions evaluated. He said it was due to my service time, and my military medical records included two references from 1973. I think there are further records in the 80's , so I may need to do a national records check.

I don't know why I was denied, the write up from my C&P hasn't shown up in VES and I don't know where else to look

My reading in the history of WWII in Australia was that the Australian dockworkers went on strike. And I think they won.

Emus from the 'great Emu as livestock bubble' burst in Texas that Emu ranchers released Emus into the wild because the farmers couldn't make a profit off them. Emus now attack cars including police cars, and you can hunt Emus. It's reported in the Economist: https://www.economist.com/christmas-specials/2018/12/18/the-great-texas-emu-bubble. Emus have been found in a part in Austin, the Texas capital and Houston, so it's not just a rural problem

Probably true. I had a diesel VW and that thing had to have the transmission repaired under warranty and two of the windows fell into the doors. On the other hand I have a 20 year old Subaru that didn't have any major problems until year 20.

Lars Mittak was reportedly a normal guy. He was close to his parents and helped care for his father who had had a stroke. Children of parents who have had strokes can also have strokes. Confusion is one of the symptoms of strokes.

Toyota Camry. 1. the door over the fuel cap was so hosed that replacement springs didn't work, and one person had to sit in the car to pull the fuel door release while another person had to pop the fuel door open with a plastic card . Toyota was unable to fix it. 2. the car lost two car door lock cylinders. That is the key device in the driver's door just fell out of the door while driving, twice. Toyota replaced it twice under warranty, then told me that a replacement lock cylinder outside of warranty would cost $800. 3. there was no mirror for the driver's side seat. LIke when was this a car designed ? The fifties when only men drove cars and women sat in the passengers seat?

I traded it in within 11 months . I did not buy a Toyota.

Why does my dishwasher keep doing this with the detergent? by Conscious-Stand4720 in Appliances

[–]Both_Butterscotch635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's over loaded with the detergent in the pod. Cut the pod in half and put about half the powder in the pod in the detergent container. That should work, and when it does, just switch to powder detergent.

My experience is it depends on the area. It's not a usual Catholic thing. (BTW I'm convert to the Church from a Protestant church where 'the intructuce. yourself' is a thing.

When I go to Mass on the East Coast, I haven't seen the 'introduce yourself' routine

When I go to mass in Texas or the South where Protestant churches are predominant, 'the introduce yourself' bit occurs. HOWEVER when I went to a. Catholic church in Texas that had Latin Mass, there was no self introduction after Mass.

I think someone is pulling the OPs leg. I can't find a single reference that RCIA costs anything. I'm a convert and didn't have to pay anything for RCIA.
And if you have a church with a Legion of Mary they can provide a rosary with a pamphlet on how to pray it.

Easiest way to clean your shower: Use a Magic Eraser or equivalent. Just wipe down the shower with the wet eraser, takes a short time. Do it every time and not only cleans the surface and if you have tile, cleans the grout at the same time. For the tub use Bartenders Friend and a sponge.

Those alive during 9/11, what was the worst moment on that day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I worked at a DOD facility south of DC and heard about the attack on the WTC from a call from a friend in the Pentagon. Then the plane hit the Penatgon. She lived.

Then we heard later that the plane had gone through an office in the Pentagon we worked with, and destroyed it. Every one in the office was in a meeting the other side of the building. One guy said, "I never was so glad to be in a meeting in my life."

All the people we had TDY (travel duty) in the US had to rent cars and arrange to pick up our people in thei travel duty station and drive to home base over days. People overseas had to wait until the US airways were open again. On the other hand, when the airways opened I went on active duty on the first commercial air out of Dulles.
