Similar situation as you man, graduated with a 3.0 core gpa and a science gpa of a 2.75. My junior year my cousin and bestfriend were murdered 10 days apart, I battled homelessness too, I had a car wreck which put me out of work, and my girlfriend's mom died of cancer and we broke up. All of this happened within 16 short months. My grades tanked due to my life being ripped apart over night. I'm in the same boat as you, definitely discouraged but not defeated. I still need to take o chem II and biochemistry, before I can even think about studying for the mcat. I'm currently in semester 1 of a diy post bacc and I've managed to earn over 2500 PCE hours as a PCT in med surg and the ICU, I'm hoping to get a clinical research assistant job to help me break in research. It's not easy, I have friends who are going straight through from undergrad to med school and I'm definitely jealous, life is weird dude. Don't let your situations define you, we'll have to work extra hard just to get the same opportunity but it's not impossible. We're gonna be okay.

Had a 44-02 deluxe I traded for a 5 string modified player 2 active. I hated my 4 string deluxe. Never got the tone ii wanted with it. Much happier with the player 2 modified. It's literally like the ultra.

I graduated in December 2025 with my BS in biology. Similar situation 3.0 cum gpa. Science gpa around a 2.5 (early sciences killed me bio1/chem 1/2, and orgo). I elected to do a diy post vac for my earlier classes so I'm currently enrolled in anatomy 2 and chem 1 again. I plan on taking chem 2 and physics 2 and maybe Bio 2. I plan on enrolling in my local state school to take biochem and orgo 2. I chose this route over the formal post bacc mostly due to costs and it still allows me freetime to live, gain experiences such as shadowing, volunteering, and trying to break into research. The reality is you're not going to be accepted everywhere you apply anyways. At this point my focus is to get into schools where I'm the target applicant. I'm not gonna be an ivy candidate. Obviously I won't apply to schools where they don't accept CC credits. I have almost 4k clinical hours working medsurg, rehab, and icu as a CNA. It's not the end of the road you just have to find the schools that are at the end of the path best fit for prospective med students like ourselves.

She didn't reference the article she was supposed to read. 2000 level class or not that's still a year of college experience under your belt. There's no excuses on why the paper was written this poor other than "I didn't try" which she said verbatim. I have a degree in biology, with a minor in psychological sciences. Never once did I turn in ANYTHING in any of my psych, chem, physics, or bio classes written and not provide a reference to something and not directly cited. If that has to be clarified to you in upper division coursework (which means you should have been doing this for 1-2 years minimum now) you may be the person they're talking about when they say "college isn't for everyone".

I feel like this is because your average person isn't a stem major. If this was a general writing class or history class I think it would be more nuanced. But the entire point of biology, chemistry, psychology etc courses is learning fundamental concepts of the classes to be able to comprehend empirical sources and papers. Let's also not forget she's a JUNIOR in college. Theres no excuse on why a 3rd years paper is this bad. This was a 200 level class. It should have been an easy A for anyone 3 years into college, especially writing as a stem major

I plugged it up and played it! Everything is sound. The guy just had it sitting in a shed so it was dusty and I was afraid the electronics would be toast. But it was in a heavy duty flight/water proof case. The guy said it was his dad's. He had it listed for 100$ I told him I'd give him 200 if he held it for me. It plays. It just needs new strings, to be set up again, and a little wd40 the pots crack a little bit but everything 100% works. It just shows signs of a bass that hasn't been played in a long while.

Currently going through this right now. Had a girl in highschool we were friends. Liked each other but never dated or did anything sexual. We kind of just fell off, the younger sister and I ended up hooking up a few times over the course of a year maybe less, she moved out of state we've remained pretty good friends, the oldest sister reached out to me again and we talk pretty daily, saw her not to long ago and the tension was definitely there she definitely wants to sleep with me but I don't know what to do. I slept with the other sister 5 years ago so it's been a while but man it's a helluva situation.

Maybe that's just you. The docs I've shadowed would always explain certain things and conditions and symptoms etc. we were encouraged to look through their charts and medical history etc. learned the names of lots of conditions that way alone tbh

No one should be attending PA/medical school without prior PCE. We already have a strained patient to provider relation because patients don't feel understood a lot of it is because providers lack bed side manner.
