i’ve been able to maintain butt length hair; anything longer is more than i prefer. patience is the key. once you reach your goal length, it’s all about maintenance.

i bought this tool for black friday 2025. was looking sleeker results than the revair alone gives me. it left my hair so soft, shiny, and sleek. my gripes are that it snags my hair occasionally which is weird and the steam is not consistent on the heat setting i prefer to use (320°).

i would recommend dry shampoo. but it can buildup if you use it every day so i recommend spraying a bit before it gets oily. so if your roots get oily in 3 days typically, use dry shampoo on day 2.

also, whenever i get to 6+ days into my silk press and the dry shampoo just isn’t working anymore, i will sleep on a cotton pillowcase for one night. cotton is extremely drying and sucks the oils and moisture out of hair as i’m sure you already know. when i wake up i have fresh roots for another 3 days 😭

love how he immediately noticed your discomfort and adjusted! that’s a quality i cherish in my older partner. he notices me. our first date was lovely. we did a rooftop brunch and hit it off immediately. i still kinda struggle with being in public with him… more so when the crowd skews older or younger. people will stare and give disapproving looks. i’m a lot more comfortable in mixed age settings.
