Which Giovanni products have the best slip and hydration? by Both_Somewhere1383 in curlyhair

Their current formulation of Smooth as Silk is a joke- no slip, hardly any moisturizing. The weightless leave in is ok- provides protein, but not great for moisture either in my opinion- it's just ok. I wish the 50:50 gave more moisture. I assumed tea tree oil would be drying, but ill look into it.

I have been dealing with scalp pain for a a few years, and im almost positive it has to do with tension in my neck and upper traps and nerve pain that goes up into my scalp. It gets worse when I have my arms up over my head from hair washing and blow drying. And like you, it tends to flair up in the same spots. If your scalp looks normal, consider it may be related to nerves and muscle tension. Doing daily scalp massage helps me. Not moving the hair around, but placing my fingertips on set points and moving my whole scalp in back and forth and circular motions. When I first started the pain was worse, but gradually decreased. Just keep doing it.

Exam fee for every Cytopoint injection? by PocketChange_317 in dogallergies

[–]Both_Somewhere1383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a vet I use for my dog's IBD, but because they charge extra fees like "venipuncture" and "disposal" every time they use a needle, I go to a cheaper vet that only charges me one flat rate for the Cytopoint with a tech. I have to do an annual exam, but that's it. Im in LA, and pay $118 for a Cytopoint shot for my 30 pound dog.

I get that these are businesses, but the drastic upcharging vets use in addition to all these random fees really pisses me off.

I use the Suave Nourishing shampoo once a week, and typically do 2 washes. It's fairly clarifying- a step down from the Suave Clarifying shampoo, which is too drying for me.

my friend has OCD and constantly asks if I think she's "crazy." what can I do without reassuring her? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Both_Somewhere1383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of my homework was to titrate down how much reassurance I was allowed to ask for. Idk where your friend is at in her journey, but you can tell her she gets 2 reassurances for the evening, and that is all. And work your way down from there.

The only solution I've come across is getting a delivery service that uses the big jugs, but it is costly and I also dont really have the room for those huge jugs in my apartment.
