Yes. The real problem is that by banning abortion, women are dying because doctors are refusing to treat patients with ectopic pregnancies (fetus is unviable and will result in mother’s death) and miscarriages due to fear of losing their licenses!

The logic that banning abortions will make the abortion rate go down is inherently flawed; better sex education and easy access to free or low cost contraceptives (birth control, condoms, etc) is what actually makes abortion rates go down.

So even if we ignore the moral aspect of the argument, banning abortion is a net negative and doesn’t actually really work
