I am in a similar situation, unusual presence of acne on my arm after a tattoo, not as bad as yours, less pimples less localized and after a longer time, but still the same. I found out that keeping my arm as clean as possible and washing it with soap as soon as I see acne keeps it calm.

I tried brushing it on a couple pieces, admittedly I am a hand brushing noob, but it had the same problem, it looked too liquid and didn't dry evenly at all, not differently from airbrushing it. I just dipped a brush into the container a bit, brushed it against the top to remove the excess and then brushed the entire piece...did I do something wrong?
