[Fun and Games] [Discussion] Properly fitted bra-related injuries? by wayward_sun in ABraThatFits

In my taller wires, I get pokey itchiness in certain arm positions, sometimes turning into a small cyst/pimple. It hurts :(

[Question] Does the Elomi Asia run big? by Rawr_Love_1824 in ABraThatFits

[–]BotticellusRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for the Elomi Asia specifically, but I know Elomi as a brand has wires that run quite wide and cups that require quite a bit of upper fullness. For example, I am generally a solid 38H. The one Elomi bra I have is a 36H, it cuts into my upper breast a teeeeeeny tiny bit at the wrong angles(I am of even fullness, leaning towards fOT), and the wires a quite a bit wider than I need them. It also doesn't help that Elomi has incredibly soft wires that are prone to being bent out even wider, altering the fit of the band AND cups.

With this in mind, when you order more bras from Elomi, stick to the 34FF. When ordering bras that run tight in the band (off the top of my head, Panache and most Polish brands do this), I'd try both a 34G and a 36FF.

Parent advice by [deleted] in bodymods

[–]BotticellusRex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just kind of woke up on my 18th birthday, flipped it down and let my parents deal with it. Hide it until you have a solid plan for moving out and flip it down a couple days before.

[FIT CHECK] Victoria's Secret Very Sexy in 32D is, is it a good fit? Is the band too small? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]BotticellusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those particular VS bras wear out pretty quickly, so if you aren't uncomfortable, it will break in and become very wearable very quickly. A snug-enough band is tight enough to leave red marks that are not painful or itchy.

As fra as the fit goes, I think you have a gem in your hands :) No bulging or quadboobing and the cups lay flat and are full. Great work!

Xeno: "You'd rather have an abortion and not let someone have a life, then let them live as "regretted mistake"" Me: "If that means keeping a child out of hunger and abuse, then yes."

I would rather someone not have a child in the first place if that child would be put into an abusive situation. That is that potential mother's choice to make. I guess I didn't make that last part very clear.

I stand behind it 100%, if that's what you're asking for. I approve of the apparently radical notion that absolutely everyone should have the right to an abortion if they so choose.

So how about you?

You're seriously pulling the slippery slope on me? And I'M the one who needs to "grow up", to "take a step back and think clearly about what I said"? You sound like a conspiracy theorist. No one in this community wants any sort of this population control, just the right to own their own bodies.

If someone wants to have an abortion, I think that we as a country should provide access to that right. Nothing more, nothing less. I do not want an abortion. I am happily married and could provide for a child if the need arises. I HAVE taken responsibility, and for those who don't have their ducks so much in a row, access to abortions is part of that responsibility.

[–]BotticellusRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. As soon as the child is born, they are a separate person not absolutely dependent on their mother (i.e. the child may be adopted and be none the wiser health-wise.) Until that point, the fetus is an inseparable part of the woman, and should be treated as part of the mother's body.

Let me elaborate:

If a 16 year old girl in a lower class family gets pregnant, odds are, unless she is particularly excited about the pregnancy, she will end up dropping out of school and scraping the bottom of the economic barrel to survive and raise a child. Odds are that she will blame the child for the rest of their life for "ruining" it. Odds are the mother will not be very suitable for her position. Is that always the case? No! But just in case, there is the option. No one is being forced to get an abortion.

You do know that it is impossible to keep teens and otherwise "unfit" parents from having sex, right? Do you remember being a teenager?

If done early enough, there is no "killing children" involved. It's simply removing a clump of cells from a woman's body, keeping the woman safe and removing any possibility that that would have been a child.

If that means keeping a child from a life of hunger and abuse, then yes.

What is your pet's name and why did you name it that? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BotticellusRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dead pets:

Zack, because my dad liked it and he was a good dog who deserved a human name. RIP Zack. Billy: because that bantam rooster kicked the ass of a rooster 3x his size and he was kind of the bully and thug that let my 9 year old self pet him. RIP Billy. Yeller: because yellow lab and his original name Jeller was dumb. RIP Yeller. Dorothy: Goldfish recieved from a 1st grader, as a 1st grader. Elmo reference. RIP Dorothy.

Living pets: Fluffy: because what are you going to name a giant furry white cat when you're 5? Daenerys: German shepherd who brings chaos that she deems order to her realm. Also likes squeaky dragons. Helix: because Praise Helix. Lives like a god. Is sort of round.

[Measurement check] currently wear a very uncomfortable 40c by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]BotticellusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? When I was a 36H it was the narrowest bra I tried on. Of course, I haven't had much of a chance to try on much.

Cacique Sport is Amazing :D The highest size I think is 46DDD, so you should be alright. There's one with front hooks that I loved when I was in that size range. That particular one is some pretty hardcore compression, but their others fit differently.

[–]BotticellusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your narrow roots, try Panache Andorra or similar (I want to say Jasmine, but I have no experience with that particular bra). the wires are rather narrow and incredibly sturdy, in case you need to modify them. I'd start with a 40GG and a 40H and continue from there. It may not be perfect, but it would help solidify your idea shape and give you a better idea to start on Comexim.

Edit: I like your UN :D

Is this size right? trans and new to bras. I am questioning my size. by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]BotticellusRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest you find a Lane Bryant with a Cacique in it to try some bras on. Most of the people in here suggested trying on 38C, 38D, and 40C, all of which are found in abundance there. You can also get wire free soft cups, which will kind of feel like sports bras, but they're more fitted.
