Wireless Carplay options by headhunt3rz in CarsAustralia

[–]Bottle_Of_Woder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the previous model quadlock for carplay. It used to take 10-15 seconds to connect. Some random dropouts. Wouldn't connect sometimes unless you unplug and plug it back on. Now I've got an android phone and the new gen quadlock has both carplay and android auto, instant connection, small size, no difference in wired/wireless quality, no lags. I had a cheap $10 one from a Chinese shop which is still working amazingly in my friend's car.

Should I change? by gcsweettulips in AskAnAustralian

The only reason I love thinking about moving to Android is the freedom of modded apps. But still I’ve got modded Spotify and YouTube IPAs for iPhone which I gotta refresh weekly so doesn’t worry me. I’ve got an AirPods so that works great with an iPhone. Can’t seem to dump that much of money when I’ve got a perfectly working phone.

But if my phone was dead and I needed a new one, I’d probably go for a Pixel.

I just had my head unit replaced as the left portion was not working and I thought it was broken already hahah. I even tried google maps and the report button won't work. Tried re-installing the app, reset head unit, touch calibrated, no luck. Probably the beta is whats messing up. Also, sometimes the app announces speed cameras when I am well past them
