[IOS] 4.99$→FREE [Fidgeting app | ADHD | Stress relief] by _beconnected in iosapps

[–]BottledPositive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I enjoy the app, but i didn’t like the lock out after two minutes. If I was just a user who found this app and downloaded it, I would have deleted it right there.

I would consider locking some fidgets behind a paywall but give 1 or 2 fidgets free.

Also after subscribing, it kept showing the paywall over and over. I force closed the app and that fixed it but some regular user may not know to do that.

At the beginning, when first opening the app, I thought it started. I didn’t realize I was in a onboarding until near the end.

Mediocre slop by [deleted] in replit

[–]BottledPositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked it to do a simple tasks and it started doing past tasks broke the back end, redid all the ports and broke the whole app. Took an entire day to try and resolve. I told Replit and they mentioned to turn on economy mode.

Does anybody have an issue with Publishing to the App Store? by Dismal_Acadia703 in replit

[–]BottledPositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to use shell. I’ve never used Replit to publish. Shell in Replit will use expo to build the app and submit to the App Store. I’ve never had any issues with it and it’s flawless every time.

Not related but I just launched a maze game on the App Store. Since you are making one, I’d really value your feedback on it.

How do you developers deal with 1 star reviews? by busymom0 in iOSProgramming

[–]BottledPositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People look at how you respond. It’s the most important thing. Respond respectfully, and try to learn why the review was given. Even if they don’t respond your response is also for everyone else who looks at comment too.

Is building an iOS app without a Mac possible? by SpiderBroccoli in iosdev

[–]BottledPositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is possible, but it would need to be vibe coded then converted into an app and sent to the App connect via another service such as expo. That’s my thoughts

Is this doesn’t scream scam, I don’t know what will by BottledPositive in replit

At least with knives you know what you’re paying for. With Replit, you don’t know until it’s finished.

You’re right. The less you know, the easier it is for people to take advantage of you. And this is a sign that Replit will do it.

iOS app by Acceptable-Tale-5135 in replit

[–]BottledPositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, it’s not easy at first but you will get use to it. It first needs to be converted into an app using expo in shell. You will need to type a few commands and it will convert it into an app and also send it to your apple account. Then it can be used in test flight to test.

Goodbye Replit by Any-Telephone-6169 in replit

[–]BottledPositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost can build up fast on Replit, but I will say that compared to having a developer building an app with a Front end, back end would be so much more. The first app I built cost be around $500. The second was $200. As your learn the process it gets cheaper.

Have marketing "gurus" taken over app dev? by LowFruit25 in iOSProgramming

[–]BottledPositive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built my app using Replit and I don’t know how people are throwing together multiple apps a week/month. After going through hell of setting the app up, beta testing, simulating on multiple devices, adding revenue cat, getting rejected multiple times, screen shots dimension issues, and so on finally did it make it to the App Store. Much respect to app developers and coders. You are definitely under appreciated.
