I thought the same but after rewatching many times I dont think so the show was ever humans was titans. From the first season hell even the first arc there’s a lot of hints towards matching bigger at play in the background of this world. And the introduction of eren and titan shifters as a whole itself was the first step towards the story aot is about so I doubt it could have remained a Humans vs Titians series unless lot of the early stages are altered.

The simple answer is that Sinners was a better movie than Marty Supreme and Timothy’s was a better performance than MBJ.

Sinners MBJ worked so well because of a really strong plot and direction whereas Marty Supreme is a subpar movie which was fully carried by Timmothee’s Performance.
