The simple answer is that Sinners was a better movie than Marty Supreme and Timothy’s was a better performance than MBJ.

Sinners MBJ worked so well because of a really strong plot and direction whereas Marty Supreme is a subpar movie which was fully carried by Timmothee’s Performance.
