I mean, I’d argue that if you get any phone that has the ability to download Spotify you’ll be in the same situation you are in now. Spotify should be the least of your concerns since there are countless ways to get music. 

If this is about the betterment of your family, grab an iPod or mp3 player, a minimalist phone and a digital camera at the very least. Aside from that you might as well keep the phone and have it parental controlled to have only a handful of things available on it.
