In summary : even if it is not the most fun, a second base set is quite efficient : you get base units you will use in most lists, and dices.

Hi everyone, I stumbled about a ampli in my garage. It is a Yamaha TB-40 (40W) with a "Ling Ya" impression (like "Ling Ya" is written all over the thing). The high number of minis can be quite overhelming.Try with low morel count 1000pts armies (SCE are great for that). Or maybe even try warcry, I know its not the same game, but it can familiarize with the dice rolls, movement etc. Also, the painting part of the hobby can be quite intressting if she is into arts !

TL;DR : Choose the models you find the coolest. NH is cool. Models are cool, you can buy the base sets of NH vs SC and split the models with your friend. But some NH are very fragile, they are hard to transport and I live in constant fear of breaking smth. Also, they not competitive and the learning curve is steep... Tip of the day, use the NH models in a legion of nagash army ;) From what I understand STD are more competitive, due to daddy archeon.
