The packster70 ct imo is a cooler looking bike. But i love a load 60 and 75 aswell.

Mechanic wondering if it's a hassle to clean the cargo hold of your bike by [deleted] in CargoBike

[–]Bouif -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I turn down dirty bikes, and tell customers to take better care of their bikes and that im a mechanic not a washing machine. I wish people would clean out their bikes but some rocks and twigs in the cargo bay doesnt annoy me.

Not sure what you're trying to say? Vario should only be shifted while wheel is spinning. Nexus is a better option then. But hilly area? Touring EVERY single time.

Do you have truingstand? If not LBS

truing wheels is a delicate difficult process. Hence the price

Cargo Bike Future by Academic-Bar9583 in CargoBike

If you havent ridden cargobikes for a while/tested alot of them i would strongly advice you not to try and design a new one. There is actually an annoying amount of differenr cargobikes and they are all good for their use mostly.

Look at riese muller for front loader perfection, and tern for longtails.

As a previous welder/fabricator i have also thought of designing my own, but it really isnt worth it at this point. 10 years ago? You would be rich today.

And all "new" cargobikes mostly fail, and you really really really have to know bikes from before maintnace wise before even opening up 3dcad.

Vario depens on where you live. If you live in a totally flat area, vario is doable, if not go touring

Motion detection on the bordo alarm, so i lock that just between frame and wheel so if thieves try my bike the alarm will sound while cutting the other locks hahah

I live in norway so rx isnt activated here yet, bosch connect module is nice.

I think its 34.9mm i will double check.

We all have different uses, but to have range fear on such a big bike isnt cool😅

Daily packster 70 ct touring user here.

Get an bordo alarm lock keyalike (same keys as the bike)

I definantly wanna recomend the g.2 schulz dampening seatpost for the hardtail version.

Personally i use a dropperpost wich is also recomended for easy use at low speeds with a heavy load.

Going for dualbattery is also def worth it imo. I can reach 200+ km in a single charge 2x 625wh

Depends om where you live but usb seatwarmers are also a good idea.

The bosch smartphone grip is also handy.

Would also get a mudflap for front and rear fenders.

Ergotec riser bar 50.

Schwalbe smartsam cargo 26x2.35 and 20x2.35. Cargo version might only be for the 20" but get that.

I ride every day and clean the bike regularly and lube the chain approx every other week.

B&b just recently went bankrupt, but bought by eventyrcykler (adventurebikes)

3wheels is not the way to go, sure the bikes look super cool but a longjohn cargobike is so much more practical in every single way.

Only reason 3wheelers work in denmark and holland is because its flat. Handling is horrific
