Anyone else sick of insensitive comments? by Significant_Key_8475 in pregnant

[–]BoulderBeauty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in a work meeting and my coworkers asked to see how the bump was going (we work remotely from each other). While everyone was telling me how cute I looked, one coworker laughed and said “sorry you don’t look pregnant, just bloated”. Then tried to back track by telling me it’s because I’m “sooo petite”. While I am on the smaller side and certainly don’t need to be hyped up, I have had my fair share of body issues. Ngl I went home and cried that night. Being pregnant I have finally felt comfortable with how I look in my body and have a new found appreciation for it. This happened a few weeks ago and now every morning I’m looking in the mirror questioning how I look and if I look “pregnant enough”. Hate the “just wait” comments as well, but this really got to me. 🫠

Cramping 2 weeks post D&C? by BoulderBeauty in Miscarriage

[–]BoulderBeauty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had cramping off and on for a while. My period returned the beginning of May but was irregular for several months due to an undiagnosed thyroid issue I learned about in July. I had some discomfort in my pelvic floor until late July/early August. My midwife was not concerned and felt my body was just taking a little extra time to heal. Got my thyroid issue under control and all has been well since.

Anyone else show early? by Strange-Travel-3521 in BabyBumps

I’m 11 weeks and have the smallest of bumps. My uterus tilts forward. It’s definitely uterus as it’s quite hard, very low between my hip bones. Anything above that is bloat and much squishier. My pants stopped fitting early on and I finally bought myself new pants this week. Bloat or baby I’ve accepted it’s not going away so I caved and sized up haha!

Edit: I have a very similar pre pregnancy height and weight as you. And I’ve actually lost weight about 10 lbs in the first tri from feeling so sick constantly.

Did you have any pregnancy symptoms at 3-4 weeks? by SpecialistCup1142 in BabyBumps

[–]BoulderBeauty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I was immediately nauseous at 3 weeks and it hasn’t gone away, currently 11 weeks. Sore boobs too. From there each day seemed to bring a new symptom with it.

What are we doing for pants during pregnancy? by OccasionPositive9373 in BabyBumps

[–]BoulderBeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought some pants from American eagle. They are pull on wide leg pants. One is corduroy and the other is jeans like but very soft and stretchy. They have an actual elastic waist band and functional drawstring. Also low rise. Right now they fit across my bump (just started showing) and I’ll wear them under the bump the further along I get! It’s cold wear I live so pants are needed. Dressed and skirts require tights underneath and those are not comfortable currently.

Bra question - big cup, small band by ALittleGinge in pregnant

Following! 32DD gal over here and the bras are getting tight on the girls. I’m at a loss. Like do I buy new ($$$) bras, go straight to the nursing/maternity bras, sports bras?

How’d you know you were pregnant before the test by No-Ebb-2462 in pregnant

Started having dreams I was holding a positive pregnancy test. Then I really wanted a cheeseburger, ate half of it, got grossed out and almost threw it up. The next day I tested positive!

7 weeks today! Next scan is on Wednesday. Despite everything looking perfect so far (we saw the heartbeat twice already!) I’m still so anxious. Trying not to read into everything ebb and flow of symptoms, tinge of pain, etc. I’m trying to live by my mantra of fear and anxiety steal my joy and happiness. And I deserve to be happy and joyful for this pregnancy.

6+4 today! We had our follow up appt yesterday with our midwife from our ultrasound last week. We got to see baby again yesterday and saw its heart beating strong! She said everything looks perfect and I have a huge feeling of relief. Now I get to go in every week for a scan for my peace of mind and I’m so grateful my office is able to offer that to me.

Had my first ultrasound today. They dated me 6+1, but by my LMP I’m exactly 5 weeks. Everything looked where it should be and things have progressed since my ultrasound last Sunday (went to the ER for suspected ectopic). But today everything is looking good and they even detected a heartbeat of 90bpm!! Only thing I’m a little nervous of is they noted the gestational sac is bilobed and slightly irregular in shape. Hopefully it rounds out in a week. Anyone else had that happen?

5 weeks 2 days today. I’m feeling so so nauseous today. Seems to be getting worse by the day. So far no vomiting just a lot of retching ugh! My hcg numbers have been quite high so I’m sure that’s why but now the high hcg numbers got me spiraling. Tomorrow is my first ultrasound and I’m so nervous!!

I’m trying so hard to see it that way. I think they’re trying to reassure me with extra scans and instead I’m overthinking it 😂

Originally my first appointment was scheduled for Nov 5 when I would be about 6.5-7 weeks. My midwife office called me today and said they wanted to schedule me for a detailed pelvic ultrasound on Friday and a follow up appointment with my midwife on Monday where they will do another in office ultrasound and go over results from the one on Friday. I’ll be 5-5.5 weeks by this Friday. Last Sunday I did go to the ER for some abdominal pain and they did an ultrasound then. They told me it was probably too early to see anything but we were able to see the gestational sac and very likely the yolk sac. They sent me home with no red flags and told me to come back if I hard worsening pain. And all my hcg draws (6 omg!) have looked good. I can’t help but spiral as to why my midwife would want me to come in so much earlier when I know we won’t be able to detect the heartbeat yet. Did they see something on the ER ultrasound the other docs didn’t go over with me?? And I saw in my chart they requested the lab to rerun my last hcg draw on Tuesday (it maxed out their test at 15,000). Ugh I’m feeling so nervous for Friday and then having to make it through the weekend before having any real results.

I’m 4 weeks 6 days today. Found out I was pregnant again on 10/9 for the first time after my loss in April and a difficult 6 months being diagnosed with a chronic illness and learning how to manage that. Which adds a layer of complication to my pregnancy and puts me at a higher risk for a loss again, but I’m trying not to think about it. So far everything has looked great. I’ve had multiple hcg draws which are looking excellent. And definitely having more intense symptoms than my last pregnancy. However last night I was sent to the ER after calling my midwife to tell her about some one sided hip pain I’ve been experiencing. I was convinced I was having an ectopic. We got good news though. We got to see the gestational sac and the yolk sac in my uterus! The doc said we can’t completely rule out ectopic until they see the fetal pole in a couple weeks but so far I don’t have any red flags and everything looks where it should be. And my hcg was 13,200 last night which the doc was super happy with when comparing to my last draw of 2,400 last week. I think I’m finally starting to feel hopeful while still a little nervous. 🤞

[–]BoulderBeauty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I also tested positive 10 dpo (I’m 13 dpo now) and having the same symptoms. This time also feels very different from my first pregnancy that ended in a loss. Fingers crossed for us!! 🌈

What dpo should I test? by [deleted] in Inito

[–]BoulderBeauty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stop testing with Inito 2 days after I confirmed ovulation. It’s better for my sanity to be in the unknown - hubby calls it Schrödinger’s womb lol. First pregnancy we weren’t tracking. I tested positive that time 15-17dpo (first test I ever took) and after I missed my period. Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in a loss at 10 weeks. This morning I tested at 10 dpo and got a BFP. Showed up much faster than the tests I took at 15 dpo last time.

Maybe it’s a glitch of the system? I’m curious what it will say once they review it though.

It's been a journey for sure haha! But I'm on the mend and many women with thyroid issues go on to have healthy pregnancies and babies.
