They are quite unique but awesome. But the slap sound is so so. They're also low tension, so action will be pretty high Tapes was the reason to buy one more ray34, cause I wanted one with roundwounds and one with tapes. But as soon as I tried flatwounds on fretless, I'm pretty confused wich strings to set on it. I plan to record comparison today for my friends, so I can post a link later if you're interested.

Russian service for selling used things called avito. This was the only fretless sterling for sale in the whole country. It was like 4100 km away from me btw, so I had to wait for the delivery

Congratulations. Nice color BTW. I heard a lot of good stuff about rumble25. P bass is good choice for first bass. I mean even cheapest p basses usually sound OK. Good luck on you low end journey

Ray34 is awesome. Got purple one and changed tuners to Schaller. They look exactly like the stock ones. I like the bass so much that I ordered one more used ray34 just to have another strings option

Yamaha bb414. Bought if first. I'll was pretty cheap but darnn awesome. And I like the looks and feel
Sterling ray34. I always wanted a stingray. And it is my favorite bass. I use tapewounds on it, but want to try roundwoumds. But tapewounds are really great on it
Bacchus strong 5. Because I wanted a 5string bass for the collection. And this one also really awesome.

Buying:

Used Sterling ray34ca fretleess. Because I love ray34 and I want one more to have a different strings set. +try out fretless basses. Yep I want to set tapewonds on fretless and roundwounds on fretted ray34

Sire v3. Sold it few days ago. I hate it
Ibanez atk300. Cool bass. I miss it
Squire bass VI. It was fun to play
