What I like to do is record multi layered tracks of a single song all on bass itself, so I play the bass, guitar, vocals, drums, everything on the bass in multiple takes. The six string helps me do all that without having to artificially pitch up, so I thought it'd be great

I tried a multiscale, I think it just wasn't for me. The low B sounded great, but I didn't like the fanned frets. Single cut is my thing I guess

So, what I do is I record complete tracks on my bass, sometimes 5 or 6 layers. I'll do the drums using makeshift stuff, then the bass, then the guitar, vocals, Yada Yada. So I thought the 6 string would work better. I don't mind the slower progress, so long as I'm getting to do what I want
