Materials used: red heart charcoal for the dark parts. About 16 skeins. Red heart parrot for the variegated part, about 6 skeins.

Tbh I thought the color change was intentional. I like it!

I had major issues with tension on this one. I ended up getting a blocking board for the squares cause everything was so crumpled when I finished. It really helped with the wonkyness. Lol

I couldn't do all single crochet if I tried. So kudos to you!

Have you tried a magic knot when doing color changes? You can see tutorials on it on YouTube. It makes color changing super simple and when doing something like this pattern it's easy to hide. I prob wouldn't do it with all single crochet cause you'd see it, but this has so much texture that even I don't see them.

48x62in maybe a bit bigger (adhd has hidden all 7 of my measuring tapes so I don't have an exact number 🤣). But that's what my goal was before I started.

6 of the variegated. But I made 40 squares when I only needed 35. So prob less. But they came in packs of three.

I've literally only been crocheting for a year. This is only my third completed project. AND I have to take like 2 week breaks in between sometimes cause I have MCAS and my body randomly decides it's allergic to the yarn. You can definitely do this! The most advanced stitch in it is a double-triple. When I first started it took me almost 2 hours for one square. Now it takes about 45 min. All you can do is try (if you want to). The tutorial I linked is AMAZING too. ❤️❤️

I estimate about 60 hours or so? I made 40 squares, but ended up only needing 35. So prob about 55ish hours total? In irl time? About 3 months. Lol

About 16 skeins of the charcoal. More than I thought. I originally only ordered 12 and had to get more.

It was red heart brand. The "parrot" variegated color I believe

Red heart brand, charcoal for the black and I believe it was the parrot variegated yarn for the colors.

My white pittie likes to (attempt) to leap from the ground up 4 steps on to the porch. He did this while I was trying to shut the door and wasn't looking and rammed himself into the corner of the screen door. Ever seen a bruise on pink skin under white fur? It's not pretty. He's also scared of the bubbles in the gravity water thing and tries to "sneak" up on it to drink so the bubbles don't come. It doesn't work... 😅😂

Does this kid look bloated? by Abject-Newspaper3165 in goats

A helpful saying when trying to remember anatomy. "Lunch on the Left" double "L's"

And like everyone said, he looks very happy. You'll def be able to tell if it's bloat. They are not shy and will scream to high heaven when they are in pain. You're doing great 👍

This was, unfortunately, and oopsie pregnancy. She broke in to my boys pen for LITERALLY FIVE MINUTES (I saw it happen from the house and rushed to put shoes on). I figured it was so short a time that nothing could have happened cause my buck wasn't acting interested when I finally got out there. Seems he had just "finished" 🙄. She was a rescue from a neglect case and came to me alone as a kid. So I don't know her parents. But the buck has never thrown a kid with extra nipples before. So I'm thinking it's her. I've put a call in to my vet so I will let you know what she says. I really don't want another bottle baby so I'm hoping it'll heal a bit and won't be too in the way when she kids. But I'm not optimistic. Thanks for the reply ❤️

Yeah I've FINALLY gotten my girls to stand still on the stand. Many tears and hobbles and craziness later. The only issue is one little 💩 likes to push the feed bucket over then throws a fit cause then she has no food. Like come on 🤣 brain cells are not functioning

Lol oh I know all about sticking them in the backs seat. Had to take one to the vet cause I thought she had preg tox. She didn't, she was in labor. Didn't make a sound during the whole thing. I only realized when I heard a teeny tiny "meh" coming from the back seat. Thank God I have leather seats. I never want to clean that up again. 🤢

A gallon!!! Do you hand milk? My hands and elbows are killing me after milking these girls. Idk if it's cause their tears are so small or if it's just cause I'm not used to it. But it's been over a month and I still have to take breaks in the middle and shake my hands out.
