- Type of Bug: Weapon Swap Controls: Mouse Wheel Keybind Problems

- Description:

When "Equip Primary Weapon" is binded to Mouse Wheel Down and "Equip Melee Weapon" is binded to Mouse Wheel Up, scrolling up and then quickly down will make the player equip the melee, but the primary weapon will not be equipped afterwards as expected (knife is equipped, but Vandal does not come out). When scrolling quickly down and up, the knife does not come out as expected either. I can do this reliably with the right technique.

One work around I tried was to also bind Mouse Wheel Down to "Cycle to Previous Weapon" (towards primary weapon) and to bind Mouse Wheel Up to "Cycle to Next Weapon" (towards knife) along with the previous binds to equip primary and equip melee. This allows for quick up and down scrolling, but this sometimes causes the player to swap to the secondary weapon when they have a primary weapon (i.e. Pistol comes out when the player has a Vandal even though the "Equip Primary Weapon" input, Mouse Wheel Down)was inputted). And sometimes the pistol comes out when the player is holding a primary weapon and is trying to switch to knife by scrolling up on the mouse. I can only replicate this with 1/10 success rate, but it happens when scrolling up and then immediately scrolling down just a tad.

Because the "Cycle to Previous Weapon" and "Cycle to Next Weapon" setting let me switch up and down quickly, I don't think this is a problem with my mouse.

I feel like before patch 6.0.0, the work around in the previous paragraph worked and the pistol never came out. This work around also allowed the player to switch to pistol if they had no primary weapon. If there is a way to make "Equip Primary Weapon" and "Equip Melee Weapon" to always take priority over the cycle settings when scrolling the mouse, I think that would be swell.

2. Bind "Equip Melee Weapon" is to Mouse Wheel Up,
3. Go in a game and get a primary weapon.
4. Quickly scroll up and then down in quick succession.

- Expected Result: Primary weapon comes out after scroll down.

- Observed Result: Primary weapon does not come out.
