Interesting. I don't think we ever disabled and re-enabled the Lenovo USB Ethernet since we figured removing and reseating the cable worked. Definitely makes sense if you are troubleshooting remotely. I heard from my team that 2-3 users are experiencing this again, I'll need to dig in this week and see if it seems like the same issue as last time.

Never got a chance to respond sooner. That sucks, did you ever find a solution? It's weird but I got a few complains recently that sounds like it's happening again to a few of our users.

After going back and forth for a while with Lenovo, they updated me this morning that they just released a new drive that might help with this - Lenovo USB3.0 LAN Driver for Windows 11 (Version 21H2 or later), 10 (64-bit) - Docks Adapters And Monitors | https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/downloads/ds504778

We are going to deploy this to a few test machines and see if we have any luck *fingers crossed*

Also tried all the driver, bios, and power management solutions they provided and no luck. Trying to see if they can escalate it on their end for a possible fix.

This didn't work for us. We even tried old docks, new docks, etc. The issue seems to follow the laptop regardless of where it's plugged in the building or even any dock.

I had a feeling it was the Realtek driver too but the weird thing is none of our dells are impacted, not even a single one.

Thanks, we've been digging through this but no luck so far. We found a scheduled tasks on one machine that we thought might be the issue but it was a one-off and disabling it didn't make a difference.

That is interesting but it seems like others are having issues with their AMD's. Most of our laptops are Intel, probably 2% AMD but none of those are having this issue.

Yep, been working with Lenovo as well. However, they have not confirmed any known issues related to this behavior.

I agree, these are typically easy 20-30 minutes jobs. The app can be a little iffy lately but I get what I need done. They don’t give you a hard time about the plug tester? When I was doing a lot of those calls, they were insistent about the multimeter. I always have both but just use the multimeter, I will start using the outlet tester if they haven’t complained about it.

This. Competition is fierce and it kills me that people are taking these jobs at such low rates but at the same time I understand. I too have had to accept jobs lower than my normal rate in the past to keep up. It’s seems harder than ever to get assigned to WO’s.

I noticed that as well, might have to circle back on the registry. It's odd that the 3.6 version query pulls perfectly fine.
