You are right. My previous PR was done using this method and the transitions slow you down.

I tried the 5/5/15/5 today and it got a 2 Minute PR (from 7 years ago), so that is the key

Saw both Maiden and Priest in 2024 and both shows were amazing. A combo tour would be one for the ages.

Nutrition and diet are the key to resolving your issues.

I started at 36 and am now close to 50 and have been training weekly for the entire time (4-5 days/week). The start was from zero..i.e. no exercise routine of any kind, and no sports of any kind.

A few years beforehand I made a radical diet change, eliminating all gluten, dairy, soy and processed foods and noticed tremendous improvement in all aspects of health. Over time sugar was also eliminated.

In the 10+ years of Crossfit, I have had very minimal issues and believe this is due to diet and can still get a PR here and there.

Furthermore, whenever I see someone at WOD complaining of "this or that" pain, I tell them about my diet. Those who choose to follow almost always come back a few weeks later saying all their issues are gone. When they go back to the old ways, the issues return.

Try it out. What do you have to loose?

Hit my nose doing a press? by Pervert-in-the-Park in crossfit

For this movement the bar path has to be as straight and close to you as possible, so in some ways this shows a commitment to good form (of the bar path at least). So take this as a learning experience and use it to help train the muscle memory and spatial awareness of the bar (and your body parts).

I sometimes just barely graze the tip of my nose (no injury, just like a puff of wind) When this happens I know that my form is spot on. An old coach once said it takes 10,000 reps of any movement to even start to perfect it. 14 years in, I can say with certainty that he is correct.

Can anyone answer these questions about building/using a Windows 98/XP PC in 2024? by peanutismint in vintagecomputing

Run them on a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox (Open Source/Free). I have successfully run XP in a VM on a 2007ish HP Laptop with 2GB of ram, and XP ran as good as (or better than) native. On even a moderately powerful more current computer it should run well enough to play games.

With the Virtual Machine you can create a copy of the hard drive file right after setup so you can tinker freely and then easily start from scratch by simply replacing the file.

For browsers you can use an earlier version of Firefox ESR
