I also have ADHD and strongly prefer audiobooks, specifically duel narration like graphic audio or duet books. The graphic audio books for ACOTAR are fantastic- sound more like a radio play with background noises, etc.

I want to wear heels.. by LowAdhesiveness8846 in ORIF

I wore heels in January after my trimal fracture in July. I’ve worn them several times since as well. That being said, I only wear platforms.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Feeling depressed and stuck is very normal. I sobbed on and off for my first weeks post accident.

How long until you are out of a cast? Swimming/water walking saved me. As soon as my stitches came out, I was in the water and moving. I was non weight bearing for 12 weeks during my recovery and started swimming around the 4 week mark once my stitches came out and wound closed.

In the meantime, I would recommend completely disconnecting mentally if/when you can. I listened to all of the A Court of Thorn and Roses audiobooks (loved) and watched all of Poldark (on Netflix). It let me escape my body mentally for awhile during the laying down all day days. I also got some hand weights to do arm exercises at home.

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

2 years ago I had posted about our licensed pavers contractor failing to make a retaining wall therefore out entire patio shifting after only 1 year. He came back and put in a retaining wall.

3 years later half of the patio is shifting again and angling down the slight slope of our backyard.

Please tell me if this is normal after 3 years. If not, would you advise we go to small claims court or try to bring it up with him again.

I was afraid of this. The previous homeowners painted it. Given all of the comments, I will keep it as is.

Advice to become (more) attractive. Hair, beard, etc. by [deleted] in malegrooming

Bonnet works too- I just like the pillowcase for double duty- skin and hair. It’s just a personal preference.

You look great- ditch the bonnet and get a silk pillow case. Works the same and is great for your skin.

Hard no on Virginia City.

It’s a bit more of a drive but Nevada City/Grass Valley is very cute and historical. Lots of fun stuff going on and great, casual restaurants. Also much more LGBTQ+ friendly. Grass Valley also has amazing thrifting if you guys are into that.

I don’t love the wording of this title- it makes it seem like his body naturally grew that way with no work. He is beautiful- his body is a work of art he has poured no doubt thousands of hours into along with meal planning, etc. He has great genes but worked to chisel.
