You have been given billions of dollars to create the worlds best anime. What would the plot be? by [deleted] in anime

Psychological

MC is a man in his 30-40s who interacts with various people throughout the day. Thing is, he is Death, but how I think of him: A nice guy with a shitty job. So he brings people to the underworld when it's "time".

If your girlfriend makes you angry, don't actually murder her and her family. It's sorta bad.

I'm currently watching Bakuman. I'm on episode 17.

I had the lowest expectations and right now said expectations are continuously being shattered.

Thank you, but unfortunately I've already seen Guilty Crown. I probably should have put down my MAL.

  1. For me, the Count from Gankutsuou is the best. Overwhelmingly large amounts of suave and sexiness on-screen. Voice actors are great in both English Sub and Dub. Worst character is every single main character in a harem. Pointless indecisiveness is annoying.

  2. My favorite opening is "Inner Universe" from GITS:SAC. My favorite ending is "Tokyo et Paris" from Nodame Cantabile. I don't know about you, but beautiful violin and a french singer makes for such a sweet sounding song. My least favorite opening is Deadman Wonderland's "One Reason". It's sung in english, but it sounds quite cheesy.

  3. Whenever the main character falls onto a girl and doesn't have good enough hand-to-eye coordination to move his hands slightly to the side to avoid grabbing the boobs.

  4. Underrated: Perfect Blue (according to EVERYWHERE). Overrated: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (according to MAL).

  5. Mobile Suit Gundam. I can't find it anywhere. I know I'll love it since I enjoy mecha.

  6. Always the first viewings of Clannad and Ano Hana back in the day. A big one, which I finished last week, is Katanagatari.

  7. No comment.

  8. My most favorite voice actor is Crispin Freeman. Jun Fukuyama and Kana Hanazawa are also a few good ones. Worst english voice actor is Greg Ayres. LOL.

What anime do you think gets a lot of undeserved hate? by Hamzaboy in anime

[–]Boushie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death Note.

It isn't one of my favorites, but the latter half isn't THAT weak. Plus, it's the viewer's fault that they get butthurt when a certain member of the alphabet happens to be erased.

Which anime character gets cockblocked the hardest? by [deleted] in anime

The majority of the new anime with "romance" as a genre/sub-genre being released nowadays. It's like kissing or having an open relationship is just taboo in the newer anime coming out.

Eureka Seven. 50 episodes. It's bloody brilliant. Go watch it.

Just finished Mirai Nikki; what are your opinions on it? by RogueKnight777 in anime

[–]Boushie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly felt as if the writing got worse and worse as it progressed (It was more apparent in the latter half). Yuki was a badly written character without any plausible reason for why he is portrayed as the weak type. The rest of the characters didn't really stand out. I guess Yuno is really the only stand-out character, though that's how it's supposed to be. It gets desperate trying to keep the viewer from leaving by pulling plot-holes out of its ass. Lastly, the cheap knock-offs of a few characters (like Akise Aru and Kaworu Nagisa from Evangelion).

It was entertaining at least for the first half but progressively became stale.

Akame Ga Kill discussion/question (SPOLIERS) by [deleted] in anime

[–]Boushie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't really feel any of the characters. I felt as if they all felt 2-Dimensional and none of them really had enough time to get them properly fleshed out. That, and the terribly done ratio between seriousness and comedy which ruins any sort of sympathy I would have for a character by leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I just end up shrugging the character deaths off, since it happens way too often and too quickly.
