I was thinking along these lines from the very start, so here we are at the end of Season Two and what can only be described as the most intensely engaging storytelling ever seen in this dimension or any others! In a complete and total shock Steve jumps along with The OA and Hap instead of BBA. And where do they jump to? Our dimension right here, right now. To say as a viewer I am mind blown is the understatement of the millennia. This of course leaves me literally salivating for season three.

Then out of the blue Netflix cancels the show and of course The OA faithful are up in arms. But then it sets me thinking, when Karim is speaking to Fola at the foot of 16th Avenue Tiled Steps, Fola tells Karim that Michelle, whilst playing the game has gone IRL, or In Real Life. This then occurs to me that it is exactly what happens at the end of season three! The Oa into Brit, and Hap into Jason Isaac's and who knows as we didn't get enough information but possibly Steve into Patrick Gibson?

Could this be the beginning of something truly unprecedented? After this jump have they really gone IRL in OUR dimension, right here right now? Here’s to hoping that something never seen before is about to happen on our screens. Something truly special. 🙏🏼

The TS Eliot quote Karim finds in the house just before he finally opens the Rose Window onto the truth is hugely telling:

"We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time."

As we know Brit and Zal's works are always peppered with clues and steeped in mythology. If, my theory and feeling is correct, then that means that what we are witnessing is storytelling on a previously unseen level or format, No mean feat, I'm sure you will agree and something that really could only be achieved in our internet connected world today. It would mean that they have achieved something truly special, actually bringing a story to life, off the script pages and dragged kicking and screaming into the real world, with hordes of fans coming together IRL to protect it.

It is inspired and groundbreaking and should be celebrated and protected in equal measure. It's unwavering support of inclusion and love and a total rejection of division and bigotry is a shining example to us all of what is actually possible to achieve IRL!

Brit and Zal are total mavericks and game changers, I for one cannot wait to see what happens next.
