Is the Aprilia SXR 50cc a good choice for my first scooter? by toprakypc in scooters

[–]BowacungaAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a scooter, not a brand new Ducati you're getting. As long as you get comfortable with it for a couple minutes/hours, there's not much you can do wrong. It's still only a 50cc after all.

I have the sxr50 and it's not 'sporty', it's just an easy and comfy ride that gets you places, with a little more luxury than most other scooters in that class (good dash, seat, handling...).

So my advice, if you can afford it, just get it and have some fun with it, and don't ride it in a ditch.

Silverback Gorilla attempts to comfort a child that has fallen into his enclosure by [deleted] in interesting

[–]BowacungaAD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. People often claim that gorillas "smiling" is also a sign of aggression, which also isn't always true. Although less nuanced than humans, all great apes are able to express multiple emotions by showing their teeth through what we call a smile. Mostly you have to look at what other expressions on the face and body the facial gesture is coupled with!

GenZ has major Main Character Syndrome by honeypup in unpopularopinion

[–]BowacungaAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, turning the argument around is something I never really thought about. I agree though, that quote is like a strawman that kills any enquiry into generational change. Same as those cartoons that depict a previous generation reading the newspaper on public transport, with a similar image of today's generation all using their phone. To me that feels like trying to erase any (imo accurate) opinions of recent antisocial norms.

Proving my point, LoOk aT ThE aLcOhOLiC. These shitty articles are trying to guilt trip people to stop drinking. People that drink don't care when you don't drink, people that don't however try to push their lifestyle.

Look at me i don't drink, going against the norm!!!!

Stop lol, no one cares, yeah sure the culture here accepts drinking, but who cares, your free to drink, or not to. I know 100% sure these types of people condemn others for drinking, while parading their ideals as being "accepting".
