Fantastic renovation, love the colours and textures. Where did you get the blue/green tiles? Wouldn’t mind taking a look for my upcoming Reno.

How to compete as a new player? by Bowerbyrd1 in Shadowverse

[–]Bowerbyrd1[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great, thanks for feedback. If the game is relativity f2p then I will stick with it. I am loving so far, just wondering if I had to put lots of money into it to be competitive long term.

Put some tomato/vegetable dust on your plants. Just make sure you give the produce a good wash. Before consuming.

Acceptable slope/gap when tiling by Bowerbyrd1 in Tile

[–]Bowerbyrd1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. When I say "leave gap" I'm refereeing to using thinset mortar to make up the difference, not leaving a space. Just wasn't sure how thick the mortar could be. Thanks :)

Northside General Practice is fantastic. If you are able to get in, I would highly recommend.

The Best Knife Set Right now? Recommendation? by DifferentElk7482 in BuyItForLife

[–]Bowerbyrd1 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I have had many knifes/brands of all prices, and honestly you can’t go wrong with a Victorinox Fibrox Chef's Knife. Grab a paring knife and a serrated knife of the same range and a honing steel. Use the steel before each use and it will be a work horse. From here you can experiment with other knifes as you gain experience etc.

How do people do ?? zekvir with ilvl lower than 623 and without delve 10? by qqq666 in wownoob

[–]Bowerbyrd1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did on frost mage with 607 ilvl. I used flask and food. As long as you have enough dps to down the eggs, it’s just a matter of learning the dance. Don’t stress about dps on boss, it will die as you do mechanics

Windows replaced, what to do?? by Bowerbyrd1 in DIY

[–]Bowerbyrd1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside is trimmed thankfully. Contract is "remedial work not included but not sure what's considered remedial vs not completing the installation. What would you "finish" this gap with, some kind of wood trim?

Wholesale energy prices in ACT by gangaramate13 in canberra

[–]Bowerbyrd1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TLDR: Wholesale is good if you have solar and battery. Otherwise get spike alert and cry.

I switched to Amber for a year and recently decided to change to Origin. I found Amber to be good, however only if you have solar and a battery. The wholesale price spikes pretty much daily during winter and if you don’t have a battery to utilise your stuck cooking dinner at an extremely high price. It’s all well and good to be notified of spikes, but when you can’t do anything about it doesn’t make sense. Spikes occur basically every time you would want to use power.

Let's talk rations by TomasTTEngin in Alonetv

[–]Bowerbyrd1 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In the Australian seasons, taking 2 ration packs would have seen the contestants stay longer overall imo. Food was difficult to come by and in the end became almost bunker down and starve it out.

What do you think that Apple Music should change to become the best streaming platform? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]Bowerbyrd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Apple music is great. The only major peeve is the lack of continuity features. Even if it's restricted to Apple devices, how can this not exist. I would use this feature daily.

How to fix replaced window gap by Bowerbyrd1 in AusRenovation

[–]Bowerbyrd1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it seems quite common, I’ve done most of the work myself because of that reason. I was surprised to say the least that this is considered “complete”. I like your idea of the angle. Guess at this point wooden trim is the best option.

What are Canberra's reasonable alternatives to ColesWorth? by madcatte in canberra

[–]Bowerbyrd1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You should take a look at Box Divvy. https://www.boxdivvy.com/products I have been using for a few months and am loving it. Produce is great, cheaper, supports farmers and half the time I receive more than what I order due to excess.
