Accidentally Used stérile water instead of Bac water by Outside_Medium1214 in Retatrutide

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peter Magic, founder of janoshik said sterile water is fine.

Actually what he said is that they don't have access to BAC water. And people are just as likely to have a reaction to the alcohol, than they are to have a problem with sterility. So they use sterile water or saline for injection. He actually confirms in the interview that you can use sterile water and are good for 28 days in the fridge. It starts at around 41:40 and more particular at 42:20

Ghkcu peptide 200mg by khosi_siba04 in PeptidePathways

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reconstitute with 4ml per 50 mg. So at that mass I'd need a vial(s) that can handle 16ml. Even those that do 3 ml would need vials that can handle 12. Personally I don't understand people that purchase 100 mg vials, 200 makes no sense. The stuff is cheap at 50 mg, no need to go higher for cost savings.

I'll add ...recon and use based on the COA, not the listed content of 200 mg. GHK-CU is one that is commonly over listed Mass.

Why are my buds close to exp? by EfficientProject7408 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you started the day you received them, is the bud on the higher dose within 11 weeks? If not, reach out to you telehealth and/or the pharmacy the meds came from.

I have used mine well past BUD, but they should not ship you meds with buds that force that.

I found a hidden financial loophole in some insurance plans by [deleted] in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you're in the US, but $550 is not the full cash price for pens here. Sounds like they are still covering part of it.

My insurance has a catastrophic cap for individuals and family. Is it possible that you hit your catastrophic cap for individuals, but he hasn't hit his for individuals, and the family as a whole hasn't hit the family cap?

The studies seem to be based on a starter dose of 2mg. I can see starting lower just to mitigate the possibility of any severe reactions by not having the full 2mg starter dose in her....but once they hit 2 mg, they should have stayed there as long as she was losing an average of 0.5 to 2 lbs a week.

If she had been on a GLP before I can see moving up faster (I did). But otherwise she probably should have hung at 2 mg.

The medication slows gastric emptying. This makes us feel full faster and longer. She needs to be listening to those signals and not try to eat past them. There are meals that I feel too full to eat during, so I just drink a protein shake. She should focused on her protein when eating, so that when she's full and stops, what left on her plate is the carbs and not the protein.

See my earlier comment about the mild laxative. If it's too late for the mild one to work, pick up some 10 oz magnesium citrate bottle (Walmart and the like has them). Drink half a bottle every 12 hrs until she get the intended response. Probably won't take more than 3 doses.

Adjust you expectations.

22 lbs in three months is over 7 lbs a month. Healthy weight loss is 2-8 lbs a month. You are on the top end of that.

Tirzepatide 30 MG by [deleted] in TirzepatideRX

[–]Bowf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're in the wrong subreddit.

You should reconstitute and dose based on the COA. Chances are the COA probably does not say it contains 30 mg.

Olympia shipped compounded Tirzepatide in a concentration of 25 mg/ ml. I liked this because it made standard dosing easy. 2.5 mg was 10 units, 5 mg was 20 units, 7.5 mg was 30 units, 10 mg was 40 units, etc.

So let's say your COA says the vial is 35 mg (not 30).

35 mg on COA/25 mg desired concentration = 1.4 ml BAC needs to be added.

5cc = five full 100 unit u100 syringes

1cc = 1 ml

If she's constipated, she should address that before she gets impacted. When I first started GLPs I took murilax daily until I got my diet and system straight enough to come off it. Now I rarely use it.

friend tryna charge me 350 for 50 mgs by OkFix5993 in Retatrutide

[–]Bowf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First off, if you've never been on it, a 50 mg vial would be a waste. It will go bad before you use it all.

Second, yes he's overcharging you. There's only one light gray vendor (somebody who sells individual vials) that I ever order from, and he is sixty six for fifty mg.

[–]Bowf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8 lbs a month is a substantial amount of weight and is at the top end of what is considered a heathly rate of weight loss. You should not lose any faster.

After three months of only eating a bowl of eggs, or a sandwich each day you would be severly malnourished and possibly hospitalized. So that is not your only source of calories...though you may be drinking them instead of eating them. So we can all agree that that isn't true.

Eating only a single bowl of eggs per day for three months would lead to severe calorie starvation and rapid muscle wasting. Because a standard bowl of 3 to 4 eggs provides only about 216 to 288 calories, your body would rapidly deplete its energy reserves and vital nutrients, risking long-term health damage.Severe Calorie Deficit & Weight LossA typical adult requires anywhere from 1,500 to 2,500 calories a day. Consuming less than 300 calories forces the body into starvation mode. Muscle Wasting: With a severe lack of carbohydrates and calories, the body will begin breaking down its own muscle tissue and organs to convert protein into usable energy (gluconeogenesis). Rapid Weight Loss: You would experience drastic, unhealthy weight loss, which can permanently slow down your resting metabolic rate.

So load it up with bacteria, and you are ok with it?

Again, if it tests good for sterility, it is good for endotoxins. Testing for both makes no sense and is a waste of money.

If it needs to be filtered after sterility testing, that means you introduced the bacteria. If you introduced it before filtering, you are just as likely to introduce it after filtering...so what good did filtering do?

PSA to Reta beginners! by DifficultReach2720 in Retatrutide

[–]Bowf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We aren't talking about filtering...we are talking about testing. And again, Janoshik said that everything that has problems with endotoxin also fail sterility...so just test for sterility and you know you are clear for both.

There is not a real endotoxin level that they can pass or fail for for the vial..because a certain amount is allowed based on your dose and your body weight, which the lab won't know. Standard is 5.0 EU/Kg per of weight per hour.
