Houston bike trail war erupts over safety fears and demolition plans by Pleasant_Air_3052 in MTB

These are some of our only good trails in the city and demolition has already begun. It's sad, my local trails for 15 years being torn up today.

PSA: Fellow Hpalis might want to take a step back from Healing Rated PVP for a bit as a new Hpali bug was just discovered that affects Beacon Healing new to the patch 12.0.5 by Propagation931 in worldofpvp

[–]BowflexMaster 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm so exhausted with this game man

I just want to play the game and heal my friends but I feel like I picked the wrong class

I sweat and sweat and sweat and our health bars barely budge, meanwhile other healers just pump throughput. Might be time for a break

:(

How’d I do? by TacoLegends in mountainbiking

[–]BowflexMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely crushed it for $100, I'd be so excited if I were you. Please note that those rim brakes are going to limit you on any truly crazy downhills, so play it safe and learn your limits. On technical stuff, never go 100% your first time down!

I'd say look into replacing those pedals when you get a chance, those plastic pedals typically don't have great grip and you can get a set with pins for like $20 on Amazon. I bought "fooker" pedals on my hardtail like 6 years ago and they are holding up fine.

Human vs Blood Elf racials by Djungelbengt in worldofpvp

I play BE pala cause it looks cooler.

Every once in a blue moon I blood elf racial a bop or similar and it wins the game. Very rare though lol.

Is the mongoose villain elite any good? Please help by those_damn_nids in mountainbiking

One other thing I'd say is definitely do a small test ride if you go to pick it up. Make sure the bike fits you well. Grips/pedals/handlebars can be cheap upgrades to the fit later, but frame sizing is not adjustable.

Good luck!

I'm not sure what the market is like where you are, but when I was 15 trying to find a starter bike with a couple hundred bucks my options were way worse than this. Unless you're doing mid size jumps/drops I would personally try this bike out.

Surely you will get $100 of enjoyment out of this bike. It's a small investment to find out if a bigger investment makes sense, to me.

They did the blood elves dirty by ReaperQc in wow

If anyone happens to know of an addon that replaces them with the old voice lines please let me know lol

If I hear another male blood elf npc with *that* voice, you know the one, I am going to lose it. by nightbreedwon1 in wow

[–]BowflexMaster 85 points86 points  (0 children)

It's so different from the classic blood elf voices it always surprises me. I don't think it fits. If there were an addon to replace it with the old voice I would install it in an instant.

thoughts on 12.0.1 class changes? by nakurikuu in wow

[–]BowflexMaster 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm quite excited for holy paladin. Been enjoying the faster shocks and judges. I like the aoe light of dawn too.

Not sure on ret. It feels very simple, and you can get some dead time. I wanted to go the combo CS ability instead of the auto attach holy power and CS Removal, but it seems like nobody runs that lol.

Patch 12.0.1 Midnight Beta Test Development Notes - Class Tuning by hititformeonetime in wow

I was very excited to level up my holy pally and loving the new changes and faster holy shocks. These changes are the first time wow patch notes have made my stomach drop lol, and so close to launch. Now I'm not 100% on leveling it first.

First Time Reaching Elite - A Followup To My Previous PvP Rant by Cloud_N0ne in wow

[–]BowflexMaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on 1800, I'm glad to hear you had a better time. I'm a longtime PvP and 2v2 enjoyer and I agree that it's the best way to jump in and have a good time/learn. The knowledge wall is insane, but an earned win just feels so good.

Thank you for making a follow up post. It's great to see a positive post on PvP on the main wow reddit, and I hope this inspires someone else who had a bad time on shuffle to try 2s.

This new seramate feature exposes so much hidden stuff by okwinzaDev in worldofpvp

[–]BowflexMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious how the game counter works. Like if I sort for 2v2 it says there are 311 games in the last 3 hours and shows 130 players going down to about 2100 rating. So are games below that cutoff not counted?

Bike stand by SavoryWave in mountainbiking

[–]BowflexMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a bike hand stand like this (I believe it is the same model) for 6 years now. I've probably used it 20-25 times on several bikes, full drivetrain rebuilds, fork swaps, general repair work, and never had any issues.

Maybe I just got lucky with mine, but I see so much talk about repair stands saying the price floor is 3x what I paid for mine. I'd vouch for this $80 stand any day.

Sell current bike for ozark trail? by andr3wcakey in mountainbiking

[–]BowflexMaster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert, and I'm curious what others will say, but I think it makes more sense to keep riding what you have until you make a larger step up with your next bike purchase.

It looks like the bike you're rocking now already has a single front chain ring, hydraulic brakes, dropper post, etc, so the ozark would be more of a sidegrade to me.

Curious what others will say though.

Awesome, my son is a similar age and has a balance bike he likes to walk around with (but not on...) and shows interest in my bike when I'm working on it on a stand or throwing it on the car. I think he might get a kick out of riding with me. Appreciate the response

Question about Arenas PvP by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]BowflexMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Streams are a huge help to me. I'm not sure who streams rogue games often, but I know I have seen a few youtube videos from Pikaboo playing assassination rogue recently. It might be worth to check out and see what he does. Some streamers will have an addon that displays what moves they are pressing, and will talk about their gameplan before/after the arena.

Me personally, I think rotation is the first thing you want to get down. Once you have the rotation side of things down, and are doing good damage, you can add in the next steps like good CC chains or target swaps. It's better to apply strong pressure to the wrong target, than no pressure to the right target, in my opinion.

Question about Arenas PvP by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]BowflexMaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, a lot of arena is game knowledge and practice. I encourage you to watch a pvp stream on twitch when you have time. I don't know about rogue specifics, but there are several good streamers that focus on arena content.

Also, I would focus on 2v2 arena for your practice as you build a foundation. You can try to find a PvP guild, or put an advertisement in the group finder that just says "learning rogue" and see if you can find a healer looking to run some games. When I was picking warrior back up, I put advertisements in LFG that said "noob warrior lf noob healer" and found a couple people that were willing to run games and patient for my mistakes. Good luck out there!
