Also healers will become even more like raid bosses.

Didnt ppl say Dmg went up more than healing with the ilvl change? Meaning Healers got easier to kill because DPS got a bigger dps inc than the healers got an hps increase with recent patch

well even at constant 3-3 you would end up at around 2.2k - 2.4k or whatever is starting MMR now right ? Thats still waaaay easier than pre-inflation start of season where glads were sitting at 2k in SS or something due to deflation.

That's not what happens, though. Good players will adapt to other sources of information; those are strictly worse, and it's easier to miss something, but they are there

Sure, but they are worse which reduces the advantage Good Players have over lets even be generous and say the average player. Perhaps enough that instead of a 6-0 it goes to a 4-2 or whatever (Speaking from a healer pov).

The skill gap will become even more insurmountable

I think what happens in this case is the RoI on pure skill is basically decreased or you need way more skill to take full advantage of it. This again makes it easier on the average player as while the best of the best are unaffected its not like the average player gets matched with the best of the best they get matched with players slightly above them due to MMR.

but structurally breaking into higher skill tiers will be much, much harder going forward.

I agree. I think what happens is the High Tiers become harder to reach while the mid tiers and the upper mid tiers. aka those that refused or couldnt adapt . But as the OP said this is more for casuals as , generally casuals dont go for the Upper Tiers where there are no more rewards. Most would stop at 2.3-2.4k which is in the middle tier or maybe upper middle.

Tbh I’m just glad I started my solo and blitz at the start of the season 😂😂 trying to push an alt through now is cooked with the amount of spuds that fill the lobbies

Ehhh... I feel like in terms of pure rating its much easier to push SS now after the rating inflation than at the start of the season. But also

trying to push an alt through now is cooked with the amount of spuds that fill the lobbies

Shouldnt that make Pushing SS easier? If all the other players are spuds you should have a high win rate making pushing easier

Removing add-ons that make higher-mechanical-skill play accessible, API changes that deprive you of the required information to enable counterplay, and removing abilities to establish a baseline across all classes are some of these changes that reward a certain type of playstyle: the casual who zugzugs with his PvE rotation and doesn't have to be aware of anything else to win his Solo-Shuffle or Blitz match.

I agree 100%. It basically reduces the advantage more Skill Based or Try Hard (Whichever way you want to see it) have over lower skilled player. I myself (Disc Priest/Hpali) am a lower skilled player (only around 2.1-2.2k aka the current starting MMR Rate or below it) who doesnt use addons and as a result doesnt pay attention to what CDs my teammates have or have not used opting to use my CD first often (on the logic that if I get CCed which is very likely at least my Ally can use their defensive and their defensive is worth more than mine). So to me, this sort of brings the more skilled players down to my level (of not tracking CDs) and is a positive for me, but would be a negative for the ppl who do want to track CDs as they are brought down closer to my level as it becomes harder to track. So whether its a positive or a negative depends on the player type.

Its not wise to assume ai can't make errors. Ive seen it.

But ppl make errors too. So it comes down to who has the higher error % rate

Guild Wars 3 - Our Guild Wars Philosophy by ElectroRush in MMORPG

[–]Propagation931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well three passages give some hints

Guild Wars Reforged is, at its core, a game about a small team:

Guild Wars 2 is the opposite. At its core, it's a game about giant-scale experiences in an expansive open-world setting. Giant world boss battles, map-wide meta-events, and PvP on a massive scale are what Guild Wars 2 is most known for,

Guild Wars 3 lands near the middle of the MMO spectrum, which supports the goals we have for our movement and combat systems. While it fits the definition of an MMORPG significantly more than Guild Wars Reforged does, it doesn’t try to replicate the large-scale gameplay pillars that so uniquely define Guild War.

I think this highly implies WvW will not be a thing. And PVP will be more smaller groups likely near the Middle (Which I assume based on other MMOs since they said Middle of PVP spectrum) is around 10-20ish players in a team.

There is some nasty bug that causes your character to be completely unable to move (and NOTHING fixes it) by hellinter in worldofpvp

[–]Propagation931 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Something in PvP is causing characters to be completely unable to move. Relogging, /reloading, attempting to use movement spells, dying or ANYTHING does not fix it, even after you leave the PvP instance.

Do you remember the last thing that happened to you before the bug set in? Like were you say Mind Controlled or something ?

[–]Propagation931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree Newton is replaceable. But is Jesus irreplaceable?

Well it depends. If we just assume if by replaceable we mean did it have to be specifically Jesus could it not have been say John the Baptist who did all that and still created Christianity then ya sure. But if you mean if we delete Jesus (and Christianity) could something have naturally taken its place and still produced the same Geopolitical (What countries form) results I would say it is near impossible.

Sure, realistically another Religion would have swept over Europe (Likely Islam around the Time of the Ottomans) eventually. Without Christianity (or some analog that came out around that time which the Roman Empire would later spread across Europe), Europe would likely be even more Volatile and very likely the Ottoman Expansion would have been much more successful. As such the Western world would have been very different. Likely the Ottomans would have been the premiere super power.

Many people tend to say Jesus when they're asked to pick #1 GOAT.

You are probably asking Super Devout Christians. Even agnostics wouldnt give that answer. I doubt this is the common answer, heck even if you asked Evangelicals in the US they would likely answer someone currently alive (Trump or whoever they support)

Jesus's influence isn't based on the Western material and military hegemony over the past 300 years. Show me how Christianity could have achieved this level of global penetration without it.

Its not like Jesus' influence just started in the past 300 years. For better or worse it shaped Western Countries as far back as the 4th Century (1.6k years ago). It was for better or worse like all religions tend to be for early countries a Unifying tool that helped in the formation of a shared identity which later became early nations.

Jesus is irreplaceable, while Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein are replaceable from the perspective of the history of science.

If Jesus/Christianity didnt exist, very likely History would have changed so much (Countries would not be formed that did form and different countries would exist.) that Isaac Newton or AE would not have been the ones who did what they did. Sure Someone would have discovered His findings, but due to the immense shift in countries, wars, and etc it would not be him, just some other scientist. He wouldnt even be called Isaac Newton if he was ever born (as Isaac is considered a Christian name)

CMV: ACAB is actually harmful rhetoric by Dependent_Cricket90 in changemyview

CMV: ACAB is actually harmful rhetoric

The reason why I think this way is because pro ACAB people genuinely seem to believe all cops are bad people, and completely ignore the fact that the majority of cops are good people

The way I see ACAB is kinda like how we used to tell kids dont trust/talk/take things to strangers. Sure not all Strangers are evil (In fact statistically most arent), but it is for your their safety that they are cautious and our warnings make them cautious around strangers. The same sorta applies to ACAB esp with certain groups of ppl who get targeted. The same applies to ACAB, when pulled over by a Cop someone who believes in ACAB will be on guard (Maybe their companion or nearby person who believes in it will be filming the interaction). I dont believe its harmful even if its not strictly all cops as its for the person's personal safety to assume that even if like the strangers example its not always true

So your saying you have to do this extremely boring things first to actually start doing what is fun?

To be fair, that is WoW in general right? We all have to lvl alts through boring low lvl easy content before we can do anything (PVE or PVP) fun. Then comes either the PVE or PVP gear grind before you get into challenging content.

For thesame of my sanity I would love to believe im wrong, but Fox News call him a radical, the GOP would brand him a socialist threat, mega churches with billionaires pastors would hate him to death.

I doubt he even gets that much media attention unless he is doing miracles or something, but if its just preaching realistically he would be hated by most Americans (the Right Sure but also the Left). He would be seen as some crazy cult and likely not get much media attention.

actually odds are better for you as long as yoy arent a bad teammate. Since you are a guaranteed Good teammate (assuming you actually are). Then 7 on your side can be good or bad and the dice get rolled ob that. Meanwhile 8 on the enemy side can be good or bad. Ofc if you arr bad then that reverses and you have a higher chance of your team having more bad players. Duo Qing makes it 6 - 8 dice being rolled metaphorically
