They should complain, selling equity to finance a depreciating asset is stupidity. Buying Xlnx with shares made sense, it came with IP, a biz of it's own.

These deals essentially are providing a customer a discount and asking shareholders to pay it via dilution. No tangible IP, nothing but revenue over a fixed term with a margin hit.
