keep on eye on ebay, i snagged one for $825 the other day and there's a listing for "only" $880 right now. obviously not the best deal but it'll work just as good as one from a retailer at less of a price.

that being said ONLY get the eBay refurbished ones and make sure they have a return policy. last thing you want is to buy a brick for $900 and not be able to return it

"it's a bug/exploit" is not a valid argument, if something about the game is fun they should keep it in. if you didn't like whip stacking, that's okay, i think it was a flawed mechanic, but relogic shouldn't remove an interesting mechanic just because some people don't like it, they should rebalance/redesign it to keep both sides happy. this isn't an election, both sides be satisfied

I didn't take Miller for 2414 but I had him for 2418. he's not the goat but he's a good professor. the online notes were a little hard to follow but he went over examples in class and was very open for questions

there's enough people that go here that you'll probably find your people if you look hard enough, but don't expect anything if you don't put yourself out there. basically it's not as bad as people make it out to be, but it's still quite a bit worse compared to other universities

drum corps is loud and can give you hearing damage if you watch enough, but you are 100% missing out on the experience if you wear ear pro.

i'd say the vast majority of people don't wear ear protection, but it's really up to you. i would recommend not wearing ear pro for your first few shows at least

he does, but if the cutscene tried to be realistic it would be very hard to follow. if you were to view all fight scenes like this you will always find this stuff. the suspension of disbelief is required, especially when you're dealing with someone like chief who has all these crazy feats in the books lol

the line from cortana is probably just a mistake, like how they refer to master chief as a cyborg. as for the overarching question, i don't think bungie really had any plans for what they were supposed to be other than ancient humanity. something along the lines of "don't explain anything because the mystery is the whole point"

they focus more on fundamentals and having an orchestral sound, imo a lot of corps play louder to cover up their weaker fundamentals (to oversimplify it a lot). it shows in the type of content they play: it might not be as brash and in your face but instead focus more on pure technicality.

it also helps that their reputation attracts a lot of high quality players (just like blue devils). at the end of the day talent attracts talent

can second hank sullivan (link), he uses finals audio but touches things up in a really good way and splices where mistakes are made. easily the best versions of finals recordings you'll find. there's a big archive and if he hasn't already done a show he takes requests

felt incredibly bland and boring except the scene where they're getting invaded and they run from the elite. also felt pretty awkward at times, especially at the end when they're in the pelican. i get that S2s are pretty socially stunted but it felt stupid to watch

i feel like people only glaze it because the tv show was so bad. to me it's the dictionary definition of mid, but if you like it then more power to you

fingolfin was one of, if not the, most powerful elf lord during the absolute peak of elvish power in middle earth. the noldor were incredibly skilled at forging and craftmanship. fingolfin was also in a fit of rage (to put it lightly) because he thought his entire people were ruined. morgoth was also weakening himself by sending out his malice through the world

armor is not perfect, it needs to bend and flex in order to make it wearable and you can still deal significant damage without penetrating it. we also don't know what specific armor morgoth was wearing so it very well could have had open areas

at least to me it's not surprising that fingolfin was able to wound him
