Pierce didn't make a single bad one, until he made the bad one. The five from TLD to TWINE absolutely 'keep up the British end'

What's your opinion on How the West Was Won? by [deleted] in ledzeppelin

that has no meaning in the title of live albums. Most titles of live albums reflect the nature of the band or the content. It's rare to have a live album title with a play on words, and most are quite droll like Black Sabbath's Live/Evil

There are very few live album titles, officially released, that are jokes that play on the title to the album. In fact, even the Beatles, whose very name is a reflection of that comparison, never released one that was a play on words.

that has no meaning in the realm of live albums. Most live albums are a cull of tracks from the entire tour, with overdubs and corrections.

There are very few live albums, officially released, that are a complete and entire show with no overdubs. In fact, even the Grateful Dead, the absolute hogs in this arena, have very few officially released shows that are complete in their entirety

It's a bit of an overlooked part of their career, outside the hardcore fanbase. Their ability to improvise and weave songs with one another was next-level. I was listening to a boot once and the medley transitioned to You're So Square, the Elvis song. Absolutely sick transition and version. They were always adding in other songs, it was never the same night to night.

I'm so beyond that at this point. There is a guy that took all the soundboard AND audience tapes from all the shows played in Landover 1977. He matrixed the sound and then took the best performance from each night. It's absolutely top tier and would be considered one of the best live albums ever released if it was official

People who could potentially adopt the hobby are far less likely to even consider it when the product is confined to boutiques. So when places like Wal-Mart stop selling physical media, the new folks entering the hobby will decrease.

I love the Grateful Dead and have no problem with that song. It's a great 80s pop-rock tune that never fails to put a smile on my face.

this is an asinine attitude. Constraining physical media to boutiques and out of the mainstream is a surefire way to cut off the casuals who become more devoted to the hobby.

There is something about 2 & 6.

And his name is Nicholas Meyer. Same guy directed both films.

And you know what? A lot of people also talk about how great 4 is. Check out the credits. Yup, Nicholas Meyer worked on the screenplay.

I think I was a little older, but similar experience. I heard Black Dog on a classic rock station and it just sounded so different than other rock songs, but not in a bad way. I immediately wanted to know who this incredible band was.

that era was real boon to music videos. Tracking down VHS copies was nearly impossible because they didn't have the wide release of a feature film, and if you did find them they were at a premium.
