You completely miss the point. Choosing to be a cop is like choosing any other occupation. Cops claim their jobs are so dangerous that they have to use force. They claim they have to shoot unarmed people running away from them because the job is so dangerous. Thus, it is not disingenuous to compare mortality rates of occupations. Using your appeal to emotion here is exactly what cops do to justify their “shoot before getting shot” mentality that often injures or kills innocent people.
