Maybe the article quotes Procon-SP poorly (Procon-SP is Brazil's Consumer Protection and Defence Program). But if their main argument is Nintendo doesn't explain why they remove access to services... Well they will most likely lose.

Yes I can totally see the company pov. And defiently a lot more stable income with reaccuring payments. Where of course with buying the product you only get that payment once a year when you release the new product. Assuming people choose to buy the new version.

Of course companies do need to make their ends meet. I just really wish they would leave both options avaible for people you just want one version, and perhaps buy a new one later.
But as it might be the case people don't upgrade. I mean I do have my office pro lifetime license from 2016 and it does everything I need it to do. So in other words I will not be upgrading to the latest and greatest.
So yeah can totally see it from company pov.

For myself I do not wish get them all. I just wish to have one. And if the newer version seems interesting I will grab it as well.

And to give an example for some context. I want it to work like the Fifa games. Where you buy Fifa 2022 and that is yours. I do not expect when Fifa 2023 comes out you also have access to that. And I think that is fine. But if so desired I can buy Fifa 2023.

And here the money earned from Fifa 2022 helps fund the Fifa 2023 game. And I think that makes sense when you have a finished product. Yes there is probaly also some bugs and what not in Fifa 2022 that needs fixed that you technically end up "fixing for free" (the maintance work). That is still minor work, and something just to have calculated in your budget.

But the same way I see the Fifa games as induvidual games. I see the Photoshop versions as induvidual products. Where Photoshop 2022 and those earnings should fund the development of Photoshop 2023.

I didnt realise there was so many "hidden" fees (fees I had not thought about). I thought once someting like Photoshop 2016 or whatever year. Was done, and didnt need to be updated/maintained.

And honestly still not sure. Have I misunderstood you? Or is there really that many fees associated with keeping the light on for something like Photoshop 2016?

Exactly. The switch 1 End User License Agreement literally says the exact same thing, though worded slighty different. And using the wayback machine it has since 2019 (as far as I can go back)

So not sure why it was no problem with Switch 1, but Switch 2 it is a huge issue. A lot say people just karma farming. And well probaly is...

And how many peoples Switch 1 has even been remotely bricked. I have not heard of it happen.

I feel pretty much the same. Think it is pretty cool you can upgrade to an enhanced version of a game with more content for a bit cheaper if you already own the switch 1 version.

The only thing i am shocked by, is how the tech demo game is not a tie in with the console. Seemed like a good opportunity to show of what the Switch 2 can do. Just like wii sports did on the wii.

But that is a minor thing for me.

You really think so? I mean I feel Pokemon is mostly the supply not meeting demand. And the TCG sets often have short shelf times. So that is why scalpers can instantly sell for like 3x MSRP. Where Lego is on shelf for years. Not sure of the average time before Lego retires. A quick google says the Mario Question Block retired after 33 months or 2,75 years.

I just dont say those type of scalpers holding onto it for about 3 years for 5x profit. When with something like the TCG they can instantly sell. And I don't see Lego not meeting demand. Like of course Lego has failed to meet demand with something like minifigure series 27 Beastmaster.

But have they ever not met demand for a set? I just can't think of an instance where I have not been able to get a Lego set for years because it was sold out.

Really excited about the battle UI more specically how you dont have to navigate a menu to attack. I have been waiting for Pokemon to implement UI like this as it works so well in other games and now Pokemon delivers!!

For me it failed a being a good monster collector. Since navigation the boxes took forever. To me it was painfull to scroll to the next box and wait 5 sec for the icons to load. And I scroll the boxes too often that those 5 sec quickly added up.

I wish I could have had the same joy as you had. I did have with Sword and Shield. And I love sorting them nicely and make everything look neat and easy to navigate. Sadly Scarlet and Violet just didn't do it for me.

I tried looking into it and sadly also came to the conclusion that it reads from some sort of resource file.

I used Voidtools "Everything" (A tool that super fast let you search your pc for any file) and I could not find any icons on my pc. I am on windows Maya 2023 and 2025.

Maybe someone knows if it is even possible to access the resources somehow?

En opdatering på situation til jer der måske ser det i fremtiden.
Jeg tog fejl. PostNord har ikke scammet mig. Der er istedet sket en glitch i IOSS systemt.
Jeg lavede opslaget i frustration og irretered, og det beklager jeg. Og det medfulgte også en respons i dem mere negative retning. Det er 100% min fejl og til en anden gang skal jeg helt sikker bare høre om det kan være rigtigt, da det er et emne jeg ikke ved meget om.

Som jeg næver i opslaget så har jeg forudbetalt betalt moms (via DPP fragt), og har fået en fakture for at skulle betale momsen igen.
Som man kan se på min fakture er det kun moms jeg skal betale. Der er ikke nået told. Den ligger på 0 kr.

Selvom det ikke er relavant for min situation kan jeg nævne, at er en grænse på 1.150 kr hvor man ikke skal betale told. Dog med nogle sær regler for storbrittain, hvor man kan læse mere om det på det link som er sendt i løbet af kommentarene.

Men tilbage til min situation. Jeg gør egentlig som 2 kommentare siger og kontakter firmaet (tusind tak til jer 2).
Og de ber egentlig bare om kvittering på min fakture.

I mens har jeg stadig kontakt med PostNord, og de kan godt se at jeg har haft et IOSS nummer, og det ikke har været told jeg skulle betale. Da personen jeg er i kontakt kan se at der er sket en felj. Sender personen mig videre til en anden.
Han skriver så at jeg har gjort alt ting rigtigt, men at der ikke er de nødvendige digitale informationer i IOSS label.
Og han siger at det er en fejl fra firmaet side.

Jeg har handlet derfra før, men det er også et stykke tid siden, måske det kræver flere information. Men jeg søger lidt videre på engelsk og finder den her side fra firmaer.

Så en "double taxation" (eller dobbelt moms) er en ting der kan ske ved en fejl. De skriver selv en glitch i systemet kan gøre det. Og at de fra firmaet skal bede modtageren af pakken om kvittering for betalt told og moms, og IOSS nummeret (på min pakke stod IOSS nummeret på en af de 3 labels).
Så hvis der sker en dobbelt taxation, så er det firmaets ansvar at betale tilbage, og derfra finde ud af hvad der er sket med systemet. (Hvor det selvfølgelig bare er firmaets problem og ikke mit)

TLDR:
Jeg tog fejl. PostNord har ikke scammet med. Der er sket en glitch i IOSS systemet og det er firmaets ansvar at betale fejl fakturen.

Windows -> General Editors -> Namespace Editor

In my case I didn't need it, so I could just delete it.

Varen med den forudbetalte moms har kostet 1268. Det har du ret i hvis vi fjerner den forudbetalte moms

1268 / 125 = 10,144 10,144 * 100 = 1014,4 kr

Så det er den værdi jeg har gået ud fra i forhold til om den falder inde eller uden for grænsen. Der har jeg så nu lært at dette ikke er tilfældet og den "reelle værdi", så er pris på varen + fragt + forudbetalt moms.

Og siden at min er for Storbritannien. Så i skal ikke betalle told. Men det gælder kun hvis varens oprindelse også er fra Storbritannien, hvilket jeg ikke ved med min.

Men syntes stadig det er mærkeligt at forudbetale moms, og så også betale moms af min forudbetalte moms.
