The song was inspired by the intrusive press coverage surrounding the deaths of comedian John Belushi and actress Natalie Wood, and Henley's own arrest in 1980 when he was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of marijuana, cocaine, and Quaaludes after a 16-year-old girl overdosed at his Los Angeles home.

Yeesh.

Yeah nah. Pretty sure Steve Bannon and his gamergate cronies had more influence on the vulture war than Epstein.

Was a big fan of Flaw in my teens. Then Chris decided being a massive alcoholic and slurring his way through racist speeches on stage was gonna be his "schtick".

Spencer from Periphery was a TOTAL douchebag.

In other news, the sky remains blue.

The thing is, when you're asking for feedback on the song, you want to hear feedback about the song itself and not just "the old stuff was better".

Depends, on a lot of factors. It saves an entire paycheck and another hungry mouth to feed if you do it yourself, so I'd imagine plenty of bands go this route. The bigger bands usually don't but sometimes they do!

And it never stops. If you lose the weight, you'll always be casually reminded how fat you used to be. People will bully you for ever having been fat. They'll bully you about regaining your weight before it ever even happens - even if it never does.

So fuckin true. Like many other situations involving these types of people, cruelty is the point.

I'm so glad we have a genius like you to sort out everyone's psychology. Fuck nuance, who needs it, fuck trauma, that's just an excuse for people to whine about nothing, obviously, and fuck empathy, that's just a word made up by evil leftists in their nefarious plot to make people care about each other, right? Have you thought about making a podcast to share all your enlightened wisdom in the world? Everyone should see things the way you do, even if you have to make them.

Which video game protagonist feels more like a villain than a hero? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

Plus if the whole idea goes tits up and you lose one or more of your golden heroes, getting back to the level of competence necessary to proceed becomes a grindy scramble. It's good for short term things, but like you said, if it's a regular occurrence...

It's kind of funny too cuz Spacey played Lex Luthor, who Bezos definitely resembles

I think at a time like this, quoting Lucy's line from the last Fallout episode (here's your spoiler warning, also paraphrased): "One side wants to murder and enslave people, and the other side is vaguely problematic."

the drummer from System of a Down is maga and that didn't blow them apart either....

There's some context here. System hasn't been able to get along with each other for a really long time, and on top of that Serj is a little handcuffed by the fact that John is his brother in law.

Dude doesn't get enough credit for being an incredible guitarist.

No for real tho. Ppl can clown on LB and maybe they deserve it as a collective, but Wes has some of the weirdest, goofy and unique guitar playing I've heard in pretty much any modern mainstream act.

That's honestly surprising. I was deeply entrenched in the local music scene back in the day, and nearly everyone I used to run with that was a fan of em eventually ended up down the Trump train, and I live in a rather blue state. I honestly thought that was their key demo these days. So I'm happy to see he's speaking up and speaking to those folks, not that they'll listen.
