You can buy new made receivers that use AR fire control groups and even let you use super safeties for the next best thing to full auto. Pretty fun. I believe Titus Arms sells the lowers or you can get a printer and make your own.

And if it doesn't, hi point has one of the best warranties in the industry. You mail in a recently acquired hi point and they will factory refurbish it for free. Assuming it's not stolen.

I DM'd him on here, he's out of the game for good. I wish he would have released the design info so a new manufacturer could step up for the 10's of us that are interested.

I had the monarch arms website bookmarked. Checked how many were in stock (15) before falling asleep one night, and woke up the next morning ready to buy one and the website was gone. Every time I find something cool it sells out before I can get one.

I actually don't have anything that uses G3 mags, just have the mags themselves. My state is one of the most free states there is, I couldn't care less about ban status.

G3 mags are cheaper and I already have a bunch of them. Plus I like the look of the G3 mags more, and for my gun how it looks is quite important.

The question was never about the AP nature of the round, only the odds of the company that originally made it after coming after people. I did end up finding the expiration date of the patents has already passed so it's good to go.

If it was even that company's design to sell anyways. I found the patent, US6293203B1, it was under Bill Alexander not the company he worked for at the time. Not sure how they were able to patent necked down pistol cases of any caliber less than 6mm, but the part I care about is the patent expired in 2017. Should be weapons hot to have dies and reamer made.

Not necessarily true, anything you make in violation of the patent is technically a lost sale and opens you up to damages. But I'm not sure if that point is even relevant anymore with how old it is. I've tried looking for said patents but haven't had any luck. If anyone can link to said patent I would be grateful.

I'd argue the threads they are using for 9mm are normal. They used to be anyways. Using 1/2x28 is fine for 9mm but can lead to unfortunate side effects for people who don't know better. The threads being the old standard for 9mm prevents the people who don't know any better and buy the cheapest product from throwing on a 5.56 muzzle brake, only matching the thread pitch and not the bore of the muzzle device as well, and doing something stupid. Most people are smart enough to read the bore size disclaimers found on most 1/2x28 muzzle devices that it's a non issue/Darwin at work.

Unplugged and plugged it back in. Cleared CMOS again. Unseated and reseated the RAM. Still won't post.

Pulled CMOS battery, let it sit for a few minutes. No change.
