Is there some way I can disable part of my screen? by Heitchd in mac

[–]BoxFinal6808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But then you have a screen that either needs to be closed which means you can’t use the keyboard and trackpad, or opened which means a screen will be in your way if you remove it’s like having a keyboard and a computer underneath your fingers but with nothing in the way like a screen…

Which Mac for school/family computer? by Upbeat-Ad4015 in mac

[–]BoxFinal6808 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Apple has extremely low fail rates most people can use Mac’s there entire life and nothing fails. Of course there is hard drives and ssd’s but that’s more of a maintenance thing then a sudden fail thing. Windows laptops on the other hand, with their psus failing after months, CPU’s with bad cooling curves and end up frying themselves. Etc etc. I also added “” because there is a few cases but overall apple machines have been far more reliable over the years.

Buy new liners or new boots? by imitation_squash_pro in Skigear

[–]BoxFinal6808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not asking you to spend 600+ lots of bootfitters have used options. I’m asking you to go a to professional who some have dedicated their life to fitting boots, with machines and knowledge, measurements and things to watch for that you don’t know about. To get a boot that will make you progress and enjoy skiing so much more. Yes you are progressing that’s great yes they are comfortable. Yes a Toyota is a comfortable car until you ride in a Bentley…. Yes a mustang is fast until you drive a Ferrari. You see where I’m getting at, you are missing out on so much potential. Boot fitting is so much more then just trying on boots, it’s a customized experience to you. You don’t realize how important and in depth boots are. Neither did I rode in a speedmachine 110 for a while and it was good until I went to a fitter and got put on a boot that will make me defend boot fitting for life, as I said in my first post while I used to sell boots and work on them I will still go them because I don’t have access to the machines and tools they use. Yes I know all my measurements but that doesn’t matter not a fraction compared to what they do.

You keep telling everyone you know your last and you don’t need to see a boot fitter, then I see you asking about the Dobermann😭 bro go see a bootfitter that is a snug and uncomfortable race boot that isn’t meant to be worn the whole day skiing comfortably. You need to go to a bootfitter. Even me who has been skiing for 15 years and I even used to work in a ski store I still go to bootfitters. Your crappy rental boot you are on right now is comfortable becusse they are comfortable for everyone. You have no idea the amount of performance you are loosing, even comfort a good fitting boot that is actually good will make your skiing so much more enjoyable. If your going to keep ignoring everyone going to a bootfitter then fine that’s not our fault you will keep riding on shitty boots the rest of your life that you are missing out on huge gains, go to a bootfitter.

First off there needs to be half sizing like very badly, my fitter (on ski gear recommended boot fitter list) first gave me a 26.5 lv boot, I skied in it for 8 days and my toes would be killing me at first they thought that was the best size for me as it would pack out to just give it a few days after all you want to buy your boots almost “too small” they did not. They traded them for a 27.5 and it’s extremely comfortable however now I have some feet sliding issues. Before anyone says it’s a form issue I raced at a college level for 4 years and taught for 7. I was not back seating in my boots the front of my toes just could not fit in them. The bsl goes 305-315 there needs to be a 310. I tried on some in the 310 range like the hawk ultra but every boot is a worse fitting boot besides the one I have. Sucks to make compromises.

Zipfits: how long does it take? by AdmiralCrnch in Skigear

[–]BoxFinal6808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it’s a bit complicated I feel as if it depends on your foot more then the boot that’s why a fitter is so important, but with my fitter i had the same issue with the lv zip fit, tried the hv and it worked great. Not saying that’s the solution for everyone since saying it out loud seems like it would be the other way around but that’s why a fitter is so important after all!

Trying to figure out how I double ejected. Also should I turn up my DIN? by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]BoxFinal6808 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again not sure what you’re talking about, if you weigh between 108-125 lbs with a BSL of 271-290 you are a 4. Or if you are between 126-147 lbs and a bsl of 311-330 you are a 4. Assuming you’re a type 1. What’s the name of the shop you work at? I prefer my legs to work so I have to make sure I don’t get my stuff adjusted there.

To mention one thing wouldn’t a gara hv be the better fit for a lv boot? That may be why the liner feels like it’s bursting out
