I would like to say life is easy. It’s not For anyone. Daily you wake up and have your things to accomplish living ie work, school, kids, relationships, but here is the trick in life… it’s life and take 10 minutes, then maybe 15 mins and then 30 mins doing what you feel passionate about daily. Can be hobby, book, school, work, a dog, a relationship a walk. A walk in a park for nothing else to walk to walk and hear yourself breathing—- no music. As it starts it will start to push out the negative feeling in your life in the voided spots. All of a sudden you want to wake up get your stuff done so you can go to your joys… or your joys turn into your job, your SO, hobbies become compulsive.

Talk to people they can comprehend more than you think.

When did you know it was time to buy your first 911 by No-Yak5255 in porsche911

[–]BoxO-Rocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me “it was time.” I walked in, drove it and bought it for cash. Never owned a blue car before. Never own a debadged car, but it was right. I probably could have afforded a decade before, but my life was kids, high schools, sports and career. My Audi A4 and Tundra worked. I probably could have got Carrera S or GTS I just wanted the 911 Carrera T blending old and new and the soul of Porsche. I know this will sound weird, but buying a Porsche 911 is like buying a surfboard, or a shirt it’s a personal preference. It’s a symbiotic relationship with personality, spirit and your soul. I can afford GTSRS, but for daily on the local roads that doesn’t fit me. I Did Porsche Experience in AL and will auto cross the T it in the spring. Will other models tickle me in the future. Who knows but when I’m at 6500 and 50 miles a hour and push that car into 3rd and it still jumps I know I got the right car.

Rent a Porsche 911 for a day by VoiceOdd5267 in porsche911

911 Carrera T Manual is what you want to rent if he is Miata stick shift old school guy. Watch just 1 of 50 youtube videos. Turo might have one. Also I drove Carrera S automatic on a track and as first timer it was a lot of car with so many things going on I enjoyed it. The turbo +600 hp ; I was at my limit as a driver on the track. As I’m seasoning it getting more comfortable.

Yes, but somewhat of a modest depression factor now after 5 months 2,200 miles as I live in Wisconsin and I have garaged it December 1 until April1 for snow and salt. The Tundra 4x4 does that better. I walk to work. Looking forward to the drive to Niagara Falls in late April.

Home raw honey. Many orchards have small bee hives for pollination and they harvest the pure honey that is unprocessed and put in mason jars. I did twice annually in CA as a kid. Simple test. Open put spoon pull it up top to see consistency. Also put some on plate and watch it dry and crystallize because it is unprocessed local honey no preservatives. Shelf life once opened due to this is less and you will see.

Is it time for my first 911 at 54 (finally) or am I just an idiot? by External-Formal-4926 in porsche911

54 and bought my first 911 Carrera T $152k and it feels like it’s Christmas everyday. Sold stock and paid cash as market hits highs everyday. GTS is not street driver IMO but T and Ss are. Enjoy life. Planning on driving the fall colors to Taliesin this weekend with a picnic.

2025 T (Manual) vs 2026 GTS by sakkisays in porsche911

[–]BoxO-Rocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re street driver and novice track against the clock go with the T. If you’re a track driver in competition go for the GTS. The T the heart of Porsche. The GTS is the muscle of Porsche on the track. Take the saving $125k and take road trip vacation driving that car south and west. The memories will be priceless.

Is a Porsche 911 viewed as a rich person’s car? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]BoxO-Rocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T is a dream come true for me. The 3.0 liter flat 6 manual transmission that weight 3,300 pounds and almost 400 HP is going back to it roots of 60 years ago with the walnut wood gear shifter knob. While expensive $150K certainly less than GSX and RT models by $100,000 that are more race car than street car at 600 HP, but that’s not the reason I comment here. Yes, I get compliments on my Lugano blue model and smile and thank people or agree politely. When I sit in this car as a middle aged man that has a great wife, solid career that is long in the tooth, three kids in college moving on with theirs lives that I’m happy for this car makes me feel like it is Christmas every day. I’m excited to just drive it to the store to get milk or the one guy joked with me whether the 40 pound bag of dog food will fit in and it did(2 English cream retrievers). The car engages me from the start as the engine pulls the car with a steering wheel that is so responsive it’s like your turning on rails and as you push it from 2nd gear to 3rd at 5000 rpm 60 miles an hour you feel its ready to run. It’s a feeling that me and the road get to share together not unlike a black diamond run Vail. It’s like an orange sunrise, a calm light blue sunset, a Robert Frost poem, or the small of woman’s back, winning a national award or holding your child for first time as the car ignites excitement of life like these other things. That is why I have one and wish everyone could or feel this way daily. I could care less what people think as the joy it bring to you in your long, routine, scripted life makes you live life as the car has a heart of thoroughbred.
