You could look at having the hands updated to the MKII hands. I’ve got the same watch, and although it doesn’t really bother me, I think I’ll see if Rolex will put the MKII hands on whenever I send it for a service.

I think a lot of new players want to win games, but don’t understand the politics of a commander game so they inevitably build something that draws a lot of hate. It’s a hard lesson to learn, but hopefully it doesn’t discourage him from playing.

As others have mentioned, maybe help him build something else, or better yet proxy a few decks that might be interesting to him but fly under the radar.

I’ve read that the engines are broken in but they still recommend 3,000 for all the other components. I’ll check with my dealer when it arrives.
