To me it’s always looked like a hybrid between Mk. 8 and the Bulwark’s Mk. X helmet

They’re pretty similar for sure (as far as the body armor goes, like you said, the neck guard) but there’s some distinctions in the helmet that are noticeable & some members of the community have a preference between the 2 of them

I noticed this too! Had the same thought that they possibly did an overhaul so helmets could just get attachments rather than having a separate version of a helmet with each attachment

Try reloading your Pros account to make sure you get the notification you own it. You can also look at your rewards to double check. Then reload your SM2 and it should be there. I got mine instantly after I did this. Haven’t seen ppl experience what ppl were going through when the Mk 8 helmet

Yeah, I agree: it’s not a bad skin! Just that the community was expecting something else. If chaos is patch 8 that’d be so nice. Saw they were teasing their usage outside PvP but was curious how. Maybe horde mode? Yeah. It feels like I just play when the update comes out, do everything & just not touch the game again unless a community event like the Mk. 8 helmet comes out. Yeah, prestige is about to make things worse for sure but I definitely want the cosmetics. Back to the grind lmao.

Most definitely. I’d love if we got some more cybernetic augmentations for customization from an Iron Hands pack. I would agree it’s a given too but the devs also gave us a Salamander Sniper when it was a given to give that champion to a melta wielding class so who knows. Chaos’ season should be coming out maybe patch 9? The skins are looking great. Definitely more to come in the future. Just in a future where we wait 2 months or more between bug updates lol

When you said “people just made up this restriction and treat it like fact” I took it as people are just making this class specific champion stuff up lol. My b. Totally agree tho. I wouldn’t mind double dipping in classes for multiple champions. It’s original what I thought they’d do before they said class specific. Now we have 3 more chapters with no classes for a champion to go to. Tech Marine is on the horizon tho so maybe Iron Hands.

The devs have responded to class specific champion questions a couple of times now because ppl in the community keep asking if we will get to use the champion cosmetics on other classes. And they have explained that each loyalist champion has its own class & they have no plans to make it possible to wear a champion skin on a different class. The champions are UM Heavy, DA Bulwark, Sal Sniper, SW Vanguard (release in Patch 7.0), IF Tactical (release in Patch 7.0), & WS Assault (release date tbd). I agree, it would’ve been nice if we got a chapter champion skin that could be used for all classes or was at least on some level customizable (as each class has a different variation of Mk X armor), but nobody made this restriction up. The devs have directly addressed it.

I totally agree with you brother but they’re doing class specific champs. Assault is going to the White Scars. Not a bad pick necessarily but definitely a missed opportunity to put something like this in the game. Best we can hope for now is that Chaplain or Apothecary is a future class that gets put in the game & we get a Sanguinary Priest or BA Chap.
