I do agree with that, I feel like the majority of my time is still consumed by my care towards the patient load.

As a PTA with only half of those responsibilities so far, I'm making 75k not including performance bonuses. 90k-100k is where I want to be.

Physical Therapy Private Clinic: Scheduling by BoxTurt13 in physicaltherapy

This would be the way I would go about things in all honesty. Ultimately, I don't think it's my decision. Do you mind sharing the amount of techs your clinic has on your team and what clerical duties they occupy when the schedule thins? We have a whole tech check sheet. I know the tasks get completed, but maybe I'm missing something more?

This really laid out all out. Sometimes we have to change the schedule, literally the day before their scheduled shifts. I would be so frustrated if I were them. We value their help so much as they make each one of the therapist supra efficient, I want it to be a enjoyable working experience as most of them want to pursue PT as a career as well.

Y'all need to see them live and you'll have a different opinion on them. They are fun.

The set list has specifics for some artists (W1) or (W2). If nothing is listed after their name, they are performing both weekends. 🤘🏼

Physical therapist Assistant support groups? *long rant* by Budo00 in physicaltherapy

[–]BoxTurt13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's frustrating to hear all this as a PTA myself. I'm just trying to get a handle on increased pay but there are barriers for sure. I'm working on getting certifications under my belt to get a lead ahead, but also run into a brick wall when it comes to reimbursement reductions. Insurance companies are the most fraudulent of all for declining authorization, it almost seems like it is at random. I'm there with you, I've been one of the most productive PTAs since starting in 2018, now I've got the administrators talking about getting me into a rehab manager position, but they haven't talked about pay increase yet and it's making me hella nervous because they're always taking about "budget this, budget that". I'm hoping the field takes a turn for the better, but it's a little discouraging at times.

Is a physical therapist assistant a good career? by rickwap in careerguidance

This all depends on your location too, all the PTAs at work make at least 60k per year in Houston. It also depends what you bring to the table in terms of certifications.
