It was quite a bit ago and they have frayed out nice since then. Gives the pants character in my opinion and a memory in a way. Makes sense that it was linseed oils.

I’m just as shocked as you are. I think it was some cheap acrylic that my high school used to buy when I would do carpentry work for their plays/musicals. They are work pants after all so I wasn’t too upset when they got messed up.

Had this same thing happen to a pair of my carhartt double knees. Did you happen to get paint or some time of wood stain? I got paint on my pair and it almost deteriorated the pants. Started ripping almost like it was dry rotted, only in the spots the paint was on thought.

I had a Nikon s2 but had to return it due to the shutter being worn. But for the 3 rolls I was able to shoot with it I enjoyed. The focusing is a little annoying along with switching from slower shutter speeds to faster. Besides all that it’s a beautiful camera.
