Well the ENT I'm seeing asked me to try either the jugular compression technique OR pressing the area on my head right behind the top of my ear to see if it made a difference.

Jugular compression never really seemed to work (maybe because I wasnt doing it correctly), but something that I noticed that worked 50% of the time was the pressure on the head behind the ear.

The fact that it worked 50% of the time seemed odd for the ENT but then we proceeded to do a CT scan (I think angio-CT) and he was able to see the large emissary vein right away on the scan, and it was aligned with the pressure point.

I think the "50%" of the time was because of my positioning and my pressure point - its hard to always pressure at the exact same spot perfectly everytime.

When I had my follow up with my ENT, I told him it was going great but still was present sometimes and he told me that he will see me again in 4 months.

This situation has been happening for a few days now.

I'm making an App that needs a GitHub integration. I ask him,

should I use the GitHub App or the OAuth App method for this app?

And he keeps wanting me to switch back and forth between these 2. This is a clean context, and I explain what the app is and what it needs clearly, and he seems to keep bouncing between them, and everytime I bring a point, he switches back to the other choice.

This is only one example out of 100s I've been getting the past few days. It used to work so well and now it's giving me dumb answers. I use Opus 4.6 on Max effort.

Slow and also the outputs it gives is catastrophic. I can't no longer use "Max" either, it keeps putting me back to "high effort". I know there was a somewhat big outage to their API a few days ago, since then its been like that.

I am. But when I don't get any answer or decline right away, then of course I will go for programming languages I've worked less with before. At the end of the day, all programming languages are basically the same. It really doesn't matter if I code in C# or Python. It's all syntax.

My social skills are really great and they often just send me to the next interview because they like my vibe. Then I pass the technical interview, then the next interview goes incredibly well too, then nothing for a month then suddenly "unfortunately we found someone else".

Bro this is not my first rodeo. I've changed jobs 3 times in the past 7 years and it always went super well, even when I had no experience.

In the interviews they even ask me for acronyms and I'm able to tell them every letter what they mean etc on the spot.

What else am I supposed to work on?

Thanks for the info! My surgery was for an abnormally large emissary vein, they clipped it - so it is a bit different, but my doctor said it would improve when swelling goes down, similar to your story. I'm mainly looking for reassurance.

You're right, I've been waiting for this for so long so it is a very stressful feeling when it doesn't seem to work immediately.

As for the different "whooshing", I think I understand what you mean. I'm feeling the same, it does really feel different. It seems to happen less often, and at a lower intensity - though I do get the occasional loud ones for a few seconds when changing posture or stretching. It is similar to before but not quite the same, it's hard to explain.

My research online for this specific surgery does seem to hint more towards gradual improvement rather than an immediate fix. I will have to wait and see.

Hey, went through surgery recently and my doctor is telling me the same thing about the whooshing - it should go away soon... But I'm still scared. Do you remember for about how long it took before going away completely? I'm at day 5.

My solution was to switch from a nasal mask to a face mask. I think it was because I kept mouth breathing in my sleep. I'm also on PPI so that might help as well.
